OMEGA!

So, I get a lot of emails asking me to do stuff. I guess that's what happens when you've had 15 seconds of fame and are a semi-celebrity. When I get an email asking me to help fight cancer or something, I'm totally into helping. But when I get an email asking if I'll, say, write about a product that soothes chapped snouts, I'm not so into the idea.

Not because I don't think chapped snouts should be soothed. If I had a chapped snout, I'd probably want to try some. But my snout is fine, so I can't exactly review something that soothes it.
But food? Food I can do. I can never get enough food.

So when I got an email from the Omega people asking if I'd do a taste test on their treats I totally said yes. Omega said the treats are low calorie, all natural and good for me. But honestly? I didn't really care about that. I just wanted something to eat.

When the treats came in the mail, I smelled them right away and they smelled supertasty. I wanted to eat the whole bag, but my human said I had to wait. I didn't know why and I don't think she did either. Sometimes humans can be weird like that - they just tell you things because they can.

Anyway. When I finally got to actually eat some of the Omega treats, I really liked them. They were fishy, a little squishy and full of sweet potato. They looked like little pieces of layer cake I've seen people make on TV. I wanted to eat the whole bag, but my human said no. I pointed out that they were healthy and low calorie, but she still said no. I think just because she could.

The only thing I don't like about Omega treats is the packaging. Uhm, an Aussie dog? Nothing against Aussie dogs or anything, but I think a pug would be a better choice here. Don't you? I'm just saying.

PS: My human fed the rest of my Omega treats to a stranger dog during a photoshoot. He was very picky about food and didn't want anything to do with the liver, lamb or other salmon snacks she brought. Loved the Omegas though. Go figure.

Hi Puglet,
You look smokin cute holding that bag of Salmon treats! You are totally right, a pug should be on the bag.
Our mom wants to know if they come in any other flavors. Only because mom hates the smell of fish or any fish product, so we get nothing fishy. The woman has problems, we know but we deal with her.
Also...Emmitt can't eat anything with liver in it, he has a sensitive tummy.
And what..she gave your treats to strangers..no way say it isn't so. You need to put your paw down Puglet..

Yup. Gave the whole bag away to a stranger dog. Well, half the whole bag. But still.

I asked Google and they do come in other flavors: Tuna, Chicken and Duck. I like stinky stuff so Tuna sounds good to me. Even if it did make my human go EEEEW.

I've seen them in Pet Smart, and Google says you can also get them on Amazon:

Hiya Puglet,

TOTAL SCORE! You're getting paydays between the Cheengoo and Omega deals - I smell future spokespug contracts in the works!

Do you get Daisy back today or is Dutch still hogging? :)

Also, please let me know if you need an East Coast Omega Taster Correspondent -- I'm *IN"!

Hey Pug, those are some of Klaus & Natty's most favorite treats! They're glad you got to try 'em...but a little jealous, too.

Totally should have been a pug on the bag! All foodables should have pugs on the bag -- kind of a no-brainer, wouldn't you say? Glad you liked the treats, and maybe the fact that stranger dog liked them is something your mom can let the Omega people know (maybe then they'll know you didn't get the whole bag and send you more?)

Puglet,
Mom said she will take us to PetSmart to get some Omgegas. But no tuna...that sound EEEWWW came out of her too.
We're hoping for duck flavored!

Hey Puglet,
Lucky you. My mom use to give me the Omega treats all the time. I just loved them! But, for some reason, she hasn't in a while. Hmmm. Humans are so complicated; they start giving you something you really, really like, and then BAM, they stop; for no apparent reason.
I'm going to show my mom your photo with that yummy bag of Omega, and hope she feels some ounce of guilt for denying me, the cute pug, life's little pleasures.
Wish me luck Puglet.

Love ya',
Lucy

Hi Puglet,

The duck version of these treats was all I ever used to get for treats because I am allergic to EVERYTHING, but then PetSmart stopped carrying them and my human got tired of having to order in bulk ever few months and paying for shipping so I don't get them anymore. They were my favorite!

Oooh, good thinking dw. Maybe the Omega people will feel bad for me and send me some more snacks!

Aw, Dexter - that sucks. What town do you live in? Maybe the Omega people know of a secret stash near you. I can totally ask.

Hiya Lucy ~

I hope today's picture "reminds" your human to buy you Omegas again. I think the only time the BAM-no-more thing happened to me was with the white stuff in a can. I could eat that every day, but so far it's only happened twice!

Ooooh yes, Molly. I did get to go out with Daisy today! Mr Skinny Neck had to stay home. She took loads of pictures - you'll see them tomorrow :0

Yay! Keep up with the treat reviews, Puglet. My "grandmaw" is a sucker for those. Everytime you review a treat she feels like she should get me some! I even heard her mention getting some of that cream-in-a-can for me. I'm going to spend the day with her next week when my humans go outta town to eat turkey. She said she's going to SPOIL ME!!! Oh boy! Is it turkey day yet?!!

THANK YOU, PUGLET! My mom took me to Pet Smart to have my nails done and felt so guilty after watching me fight the groomer tooth and nail (no pun intended) that she went looking for a treat and found...OMEGA TREATS! She even got me the triple s: super stinky salmon. Those. Are. Good. I even lost 2 ounces from the time we weighed me on the way in to the time we weighed me on the way out. It was either the wrestling match or the Omega treats. HEY! If we could convince our moms that eating them made us LOSE weight...
