FFF: freeeeezing!

OK. I don't know what it's like where you are, but here in my house it is freee-zing. Freezing! I've been bundled up in blankets like one of those Extra Terrestrials since we got back and as much as I like to snuggle, I'm really not liking it.

The temperature thing in the car said 42 this morning. My human says that's not exactly freezing, but it's definitely the coldest I've ever been in my whole entire life.

The House of Meat has a chimney with real fire in it. Warm fire. Fire that's warmer than any blanket. I want to go back there. And so does Dutch.

Is it totally freezing where you live??

Hey Pug!

42*?!?!?! That's like *Spring* here! This morning it was 19* *and* I had to go pee in that stupid white stuff that makes my feet wet and cold. I'm over it.

If you ever visit the most boring state, PA, you can snuggle with me by my humans fireplace :)

Hi Puglet,

This morning at our house it was 27 degrees and snowing!!!!! Gunnie and I bundle up under the afghan on the bed as much as possible.

My other way to keep warm is to sleep on the couch right under the heater vent, nice and toasty. Gunnie and I fight over this location alot and as I am the more nimble one in the family I usually get this prime spot.

And guess what? The pillow or couch cover that Dutch is sleeping on is the same at our house. Kismet!!!

My human grew up in the Bay Area so she knows it is normally nice and warm there and she feels your pain.

Hope you warm up soon!

Oh my goodness, Pug, I feel your pain! Or, rather, I would feel it but I'm too numb!! It's like an ice box in the trailer where I work. My human turns on the space heater to take the chill out, but she can't leave me unsupervised with the heater on (especially cause I like to get reeeeeeaaaallly close!) so she puts me in one of my sweaters. It helps, but it's still sooooooo cold!! I'm glad that the sun is actually shining though. Every so often there's a patch on the floor that I can lie in!! Stay warm up there dude!!!

Hi Puglet - I live in South Bay (San Jose) and it was FREEZING in the am. There was white stuff on the grass that made my tootsies all cold and tingly. I had to run inside after, ahem, doing my bidness and sit by the floor heater!!! I am wondering if that white stuff is a little like snow which I was wishing for and now I am not so sure about?

Dear Puglet,
Thankfully it's finally warmed up here in Denver, but I think your cold weather is heading my way. To be honest, I'll take the Denver weather compared to where my grandma lives. We go visit her sometimes and you wouldn't believe how cold it is there in the winter. Last time we visited, each night it was around -30, and there was tons of snow on the ground. BURRR!!! Pug feet are not made for withstanding such extreme temps, so I had to adapt by developing a three legged hop whenever I had to go out to use the "facilities". But my Grandma makes it up to me. She feeds me bananas, sweet potatoes, tortillas, pinon nuts and if I'm really lucky, roasted lamb, YUM!!!
Stay warm Puglet! Blankets and fires and most importantly, lots of treats are good for dealing with cold weather.

XOXO,
Coco

Pug I totally hear you! The past few mornings there's been frost on my pee pee grass...frost on my poor delicate toes. Mom wakes up before the sun, so to punish her, I take extra long to find my spot. I don't mind the cold so much as the rain (thank goodness that's over for now)
I had to remind mom that I don't wear sweaters, she was sizing me up the other day telling dad she thinks I'm too cold. Chin up Pug, spring is around the corner!

I am guessing your human drives a Mazda? That dash info looks mighty familiar. Mazdas rock, they are so much fun. My Mazda5 is a GREAT dog car!

My Cardigan Corgis think 42 sounds pretty refreshing and 32 is even better!

Holy crap dude! If it were 42 here I'd be out nude SUNBATHING on the deck! Our thermometer thingy says it's EIGHTEEN (1-8) degrees outside right now and a bunch of white crap is falling and covering up all my pee spots in the backyard!!!!

Stay warm, dude!

Hiya Puglet. Same here as many of your friends. It is freee-zing!! We have a storm getting started here, so We'll be dealing for a while. You are right on the nose about the fireplace though. You rarely find me anywhere but in front of it this time of year. If it helps, you look really cute snuggled under your blanket.

Its been pretty cold around here lately, in the 35 ish range in our morning walk time. We both refuse to wear coats. This morning Pearl decided she wasn't going out, and hid under the table...our human had to leave the back door open a crack for us and set the thermostat so we wouldn't freeze. At night we will be warm and toasty sitting in front of the fireplace (its gas, but puts out a lot of heat). Mom was grumbling something about getting the #^#@am dog door in.

Puglet,
This morning in San Antonio it was 37 degrees and now at noon its 70.

Our mom loves the cold weather..of course we think there is something totally wrong with her.

We have one of those fire place thingies, cept its got plants in it, mom never ever starts a fire in it... something about soot! What the hay is soot?

Put your sweater on Puglet, crawl under the covers and snuggle with Dutch!

Hi Puglet,
It's 19 and only the huskies and malamutes are happy. When it gets in the single digits, that's when the snowsuit comes out :(
By the way, I nap just like Dutch, with the lip curled and face kind of squashed.
Hey, I just thought of something. You may not have a fireplace but you have an oven. If you want to warm up the house, get some cookies baking in there!

Hi Puglet,
From where I am in Canada, your weather is perfect Pug weather, not too hot, not too cold.
Today it is -16C (3F) but with the wind chill it is -30C (-22F).
In this weather I go out for a quick pee and then race back inside before my toes freeze.
One thing I have learned about chilly houses is that the computer is your best friend. Mum's laptop blows hot air that I like to lay under when she has it on her lap. The office computer also stays pretty warm. If you curl up behind it you can stay pretty toasty.
If those aren't options, snuggle close to Dutch or your human to stay warm.

Pug snuggles,
Sabrina

It's cold over here in the East Bay too. We do get a patch of sun for about an hour or so and we take full advantage. Ollie has a good idea about the baking; our human bakes to warm up the house. There must be figure friendly recipe in your new cookbook. If not bake a sweet potato...mmm one of our favorites!
Stay Warm. Luv, Zoey & Phoebe

Maybe you'll have to bring your whole family for a holiday down-under Puglet, it's certainly very warma here at the moment. :)

Puglet, it's 19 degrees here in Park City. Brrrrr! But being a West coast pug, I think that's about the equivalent of 42 degrees out there!

In Poznan Poland, where we live, is sooo hot right now:) which means is around 2-4 C (36-40 F) Puciu could even took her sweater off, she's the one with the sweater during the winter:) Fredzio and Zuzia don't need any, I call them polar pugs :) they have fun even when there's -15 C (5F). Puglet, if you would like to meet Pucia, please visit http://joinprojectdog.com/2011/01/07/pucia-the-pug/ :)

Dearest Puglet,

Please feel free to send some of your cold weather my way. Here in Cape Town, South Africa, the thermometer has peaked at a sweltering 40 degrees Celsius (or 104 degrees Fahrenheit) this week.

I'll be happy to send you some sunshine. Some pugs were catching the cool breeze and waves at Blouberg beach earlier today.

Cheers

Poor Puglet, Yes it's freezing where we live. A nice coating of pretty white snow landed on everything the past couple days so it's very pretty and the sun is shining on it so it's sparkly. Current temp is 19 degrees F. brrrr

Hey puglet, it's 39 here in England. I'm used to it - it is NEVER warm here - although I don't like going outside to pee much.

My human also does the blanket thing and calls me ET - must be a human thing. It's a good job we love them.
