PUG HIGH

Well, the juju worked it's magic again and my human's China-sized hand was almost normal size when it came time to shoot pugs Saturday morning. She says the prednisone shot, 24-hour steroid cream glove sauna, and antibiotics might have had something to do with it... but I know and you know it was the juju.

The whole Lupus scare/China-hand thing was crazy stressful for my human so she was really happy to wake up on Saturday with a good hand. We usually hike with the cows on Saturdays, so I wasn't exactly happy when she packed up Nikon and took off without me...

Or when she came home hours later, smelling like 13 stranger pugs. And I definitely wasn't happy when the same thing happened again on Sunday. But then I noticed how happy my human was. I mean, like HAPPY. A "pug high", she called it. And even though I'd much rather be #1 than #1/1000, there's nothing better than a crazy-happy human.

Especially when that crazy-happy human is feeling a little guilty for ruining your weekend and takes you to the beach to play fetch and pose for Nikon, even though her hand is kinda puffy again and she's all tired and achy from hours of pug yoga.

Happiness happens.

We go to the beach all the time but something made this trip even better than usual. It might have been the supernice weather, or the new squeaky tennis ball my human bought for me. But I'm kinda thinking maybe it was the pug high. And if things are this good after only 24 pugs or whatever, 2012 is going to be the best year ever.

Gus and I are SO happy, too, Puglet, that you've got your human back, more healthy and smiley. So much happiness, it hurts (but in a good way)! We'll keep sending her juju. It sure helped our friend Darby, so it's gonna keep her on the healing path. "Pug" is another word for happiness, doncha think?

Glad to hear your human's hand is getting back to normal. I can't even imagine how tired your momma must be after contorting into all those crazy "pug yoga" positions she gets into to get those great pug photos.

Glad you and Dutch made it to the beach for some running around. The one time I got to visit SF we went to the beach and it was SO MUCH FUN! I wish I could go back!

My 'rents have been passing out "1000 pugs" cards to any pugs they see on the street (there are quite a few in our 'hood). Can't wait for when your human comes out to the East Coast.

-Love,
Sid.

I'm so happy to hear that your call for juju has made your human's hand better again. Way to go Pug!
A happy human and healthy means that 999 other pugs are going to be happy too. Did you even know your juju would mean so much?
Licks,
Sabrina
P.S. My verification word today was muhlovin. That is how I feel about your post today.

This is great news! I was kinda worried about the China hand thing. Todays photos are amazing! You and Dutch look so happy. I like the way he is holding onto you. I hope this "pug high" lasts through all of 2012!!

Doesn't matter whether it's the beach on your side of the earth or the beach on our side of the earth, a day at the beach is a happy - happy day .... so long as you don't get knocked over by the moving water! Glad your Mom's hand is better. We'll still keep sending puggle prayers and magic juju from our beach to your beach Puglet, cause that just what we three puggles do!

Bella, It must be where our minds are, it struck me the same way! :)
Amanda, I'm glad your hand is much better, just don't over do it and have a setback!

Puget, you are simply unbelievably photogenic and it's a miracle you don't have a million people both following you and out there walking with you everytime your mom takes you out! And Dutch isn't far behind!

Oh Puglet I am so glad your Human's hand is on the mend.
I was wondering about this "pug high" thing - was it specific to your human or the populace in general? So I questioned my 2 mommys at length and they told me anytime they spend good quality play or cuddle time with me they get a high. . . a warm fuzzy PUG high. What a nice feeling knowing we can affect humans like that.
Re the beach - it WAS a glorious NorCal weekend, wasn't it?

Yay for unswollen hands! Very happy your human is feeling better. You guys look super happy, which is great! (: Happy time with humans rocks.

We're in the process of moving, which my humans know I hate a lot (I'm just not good with change). My travel bag is on the floor, so I know they won't leave without me, but it doesn't stop me from clinging hard and not eating. Any advice on how I can chill out?

That picture of you and Dutch is SO CUTE!!!!! I'm glad the juju worked on the China hand. Hopefully your human can get back to the vet and get some more pug pills to make it all better.

Oh Puglet, you are so handsome and athletic! I'm happy that your human's hand is feeling better and hope that it stays that way. From what I understand, your human is very busy, but remind her to keep herself healthy! Horray for pug highs!

Hey everybody!

Big fat thanks for mentioning how awesome, athletic, precious and handsome I am. Guess I'm cool with the other 999, but it would really suck if Miss Gimpy forgot about me.

Maybe you should just keep saying how awesome, athletic, precious and handsome I am. Then she can't forget, right?

I have to give the thumbs back now so my human can get caught up on all the emailing she missed last week because of the China Hand/ Benedryl coma.

The hand is a little puffy, but that's probably just from all the pug shooting. She goes back to the Skin Vet tomorrow for a recheck, so hang on to your juju :)

PS: Jazz, pug is definitely another word for happiness!

We are so glad that all of you found happiness again. Please keep a close eye on your human; when she's been working a lot remind her to stop and take some time to relax. That way her thumbs, brain and everything else will stay happy and healthy too. We are here if you, Dutch or your human needs anything.
