MOBBED

I was so excited to tell you about our trip to the beach that I totally forgot to mention the scary crowd of dancing people we met there. Make that scary, dancing, clapping people. In matching yellow scarves.

Yeah.

If you've never seen a bunch of people dancing around on a beach for no reason, it's kinda freaky. Especially when they all jump at clap at the same time. The whole thing was just way too weird and totally freaked me out.

Until I remembered my friend Horton's dad talking about this really bad TV show called Mobbed where big bunches of people dance around and scare people (technical term: flash mob). I have no idea why anyone would want to do this, but I'm pretty sure the clapping scarf dancers were a flash mob.

It's not everyday you see a scary flash mob, so of course my human made me supermodel with them. And of course everyone stopped dancing when they saw me strike a pose for Nikon. Horton's dad never explained what happens when the mob stops dancing so I was really worried about what they might do next.

But when the dancing and clapping stopped, the mob wasn't scary at all. They were just a whole lot of normal people (in matching yellow scarves) who thought I was cute and wanted to pet me.

Glad the mob wasn't so scary after all. Oh, flash scratch sessions sounds good to me!

You are special wherever you go Pug! You can even stop a flash mob in action and that is saying something! You got it going on! They should've given you one of those yellow scarves!

Do you know what's better than a flash mob? A flash mob with treats for pugs! I can get on board with that!
Can I just point out that humans are weird? I mean really, clapping and running about?? Next time a human goes on about you licking your balls (or lack of) maybe just point out this mob thing.

Oh Pug, you look really freaked out in that first shot. I don't think I've ever seen you look scared. Glad toss flash mob era in matching yellow scarves turned out to be regular humans.

You *do* look a little scared in that first picture. At first, I thought you had been mobbed! lol

I'm with Bellatrix...this clapping/dancing pack of humans makes no sense to me. Does humping a chair really seem odd in comparison?

Puglet, this flash mob thing is weird. But than again, people are weird. I'm not surprised you conquered with your adorablness. Puggy bodies always draw all the attention to them! You are a true supermodal, speaking of which did you get your treats in the mail yet? They sounded yummy!

Ooo, I love the sound of Bella-T's treat mob idea. Much better than scary clapping dancers with yellow scarves!

Meredith & Scarlet ~ I totally could have shown the scary mobbers a move or two. Been awhile, but I used to do a pretty mean Cabbage Patch:

Hey Ollie! Glad to see you back. I've only ever humped Frank, so I'm not sure how humping a chair compares to flash mobbing... but I'm pretty sure I'd get yelled at for humping and nobody yelled at the mobbers.

HOLY SPAM!

Dutchess, you are the best. The box from Mr Chewy came last week but is STILL unopened. The UPS man came the day my human was in a Benedryl coma. She was too comatose to answer the door, but my barking (which I totally got yelled at for) alerted our superawesome downstairs neighbor who signed for the box and stuck it through our dog door.

Of course Miss Gimpy *totally* forgot about it and I guess I kinda did too. No freaking idea how that happened!

MUCHOS THANKS!!

That is so cool the way you stopped that mob from their dance with your cuteness! You should have asked them if they could be your entourage. You are the great Puglet, and all the big stars have an entourage.

We should totally plan a Pug Mob and take over someplace someday! Can you imagine how happy we would make humans if we all wore scarves and danced?

I'm glad they were friendly mobbers, I would have been pretty nervous if I saw that.

It takes a lot of charisma to stop a mob Puglet--WOW!
Great reporting. I was glued to my human's lap!!!

Puglet, with your superstar looks and fame, I'm surprised that you don't like crowds! Doesn't the paparazzi bother you?

We have people like that in New Jersey who wear scarves and dance around in the pine barrens on the cranberry bogs. mom calls them Wickens. Dad calls them crazy piney people. They are very friendly folks. Glad your mob was friendly too. You look dashing!
