STUBBY

The world lost a very special pug on Friday. His name is Stubby and he was one of my best friends.

Stubby was a wise, kind, and all around incredibly awesome pug. He taught me many things about the world. Like how to be generous. And how to be green. He brought many joys into my life, like Popeye's nuggets and true bromance.

Stubby lived a long and awesome life full of love, good food, and adventure. On the day he went to sleep, his humans made him bacon for breakfast and took him to Popeye's for lunch.
I hope my life is as long as good as Stubby's and ends with a tasty meal of bacon and nuggets.

Stubbs - dude, you will be missed by all.

Oh Puglet, You are making my Mommy's eyes leak a lot. She has quietly read Stubby's blog as long as she has read your's. We loved his Autumn quote about a time for all things... Sending Stubby's humans many pug hugs, snuffles, and people's prayers. Surely a Pug as wonderful as Stubby is playing at the Bridge right now. Pug Hugs, Canadian Lola (I used to be Las Vegas Lola!)

It's a sad, sad day, Pug :( I 'knew' Stubby through your blog and followed his blog too, it made me sad a few weeks ago to hear about some of his health problems.

Stubby is in pug heaven and is playing amongst green grass with his cart sitting nearby, all while waiting for his next nugget.

Prayers are with Stubby's family and friends during this difficult time.

I loved reading Stubby's adventures. I'm sure you will miss him lots! He was an awesome dude, one of the best there is! My human and I had rainy eyes when we read your post today. Maybe your human will pay tribute to Stubby by taking you to Popeye's? I'm going to see if my human will too. Let's do it for Stubby.

Aww Puglet we are so sad to hear about Stubby. We know he was an awesome friend to you, Dutch and your human.

At least now the monster in Stubby's head is quiet and he can head peacefully over the rainbow bridge.

His humans showed him love until the end by letting him have bacon and Popeyes on his last day with them. Our thoughts and our hearts are with Stubby's humans.

Enjoy life on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge Stubby we will miss you!

I wish we had had the opportunity to meet the Stubby guy when he was in Northern Cal...maybe we need some type of annual Pug meetup in his honor. The girls and I are sorry we never had the opportunity to meet him, but we do feel like we know him. Yes, I am sure there are lots of good treats in doggy heaven.

Dear Pug~
I know how much you like romping at the beach, cause of all your pictures. Perhaps one starry night when it's not too cold and the SF fog hasn't rolled in and blocked everything, you can ask your human to take you there (and bring Dutch) and when you go, look up into the sky, at all the billions and billions of twinkly stars above your head.
You know what? One of those is Stubby. His body kinda wore out, but his little pug spirit remains....you can even talk to him up there, if you want, and tell him things about your day, and guess what, Pug?
He'll hear you. Maybe it'll make your heart feel a little less achy, too.
We're sad, too, Pug.
Hugs from your pug-lovin' feline buddies in Portland, Abby & Audrey~

Pug- I met Stubby because of you and I can't thank you enough. He was the wisest, kindest, most thoughtful pug I have ever met and I am so grateful I got to meet him personally on his world tour. Further than this, we were so touched by the kindness and warmth shining from Stubby's humans; one can only be so lucky to meet people like Michelle and her hubby. Because of them Stubby had an amazing life and one I can only hope to give to my Spencer.

Stubby was a friend, a leader, and a star. A star that guided all of us to challenge ourselves and the world around us; a shining light that offered words of wisdom and a friendship that burns with eternity. Here's to my friend Stubby: may your light shine down on all of us while you light up the sky with your brilliance.

As I think of you and your humans I will hold Spencer close and remember the wonderful day we met. We love you Stubby.

Dearest Puglet and Dutch - I'm leaky too. BUT - thanks to your human, I can smile just a little bit when I look at Stubby's beautiful happy face. Please send lots of pug hugs to stubby's folks - it's an unspeakably hard time for them.

Awww I'm so sorry to hear about Stubby. My thoughts are with his family who I'm sure misses him very much. I know how they feel--today (1.11.11) would've been our pug Jasmine's 18th birthday.

Puglet, you need to go over to Stubby's house and let them shower pug love on someone. That always helps.

Stubby, we thank you for your generosity and kindly bringing to our human's attention the need for every pug to experience the sheer joy and delight of both bacon and fried, crunchy chicken bits.

Generosity and love are the only things we can really give. xo to Stubby's mom :(

I am very sad to hear of your loss, Puglet. It is difficult to loose the companionship of friend and loved one. I know Stubby is in Pug Heaven having fun running free and off leash forever! No more collar, no more tags, no more leash, only time to wag, wag, wag!
