GOLDEN CHICKENS IN OUR KITCHEN!

Thanks to you all, yesterday was much less sucky. Uh, Food Channel?!? It wasn't as cool as actually eating, but way better than sitting around doing nothing AND not eating. And there wasn't really anything for me to bark at so much human didn't get mad at me.

I have NO idea why we don't watch food on TV more often.

The only bad thing about watching food all day is it makes you kinda hungry. Really hungry. I mentioned this to The Man when he called to see if my human was OK and you know what he did? This:

Uh huh. He brought us a Golden Chicken. A real, live Golden Chicken. We had to share it with him, but I love The Man even more than chicken so I was OK with that.

Dutch went so CRAZY over the chicken
, he went into the garbage looking for more. My human made The Man put "the stinky carcass full of death bones" in the outside garbage, so all Dutch found was a piece of chicken-scented cardboard.

Good news is, the human-vet just called and the blood they sucked out of my human didn't have Lyme disease in it. Now she can stop taking the pills she's convinced have been making her sick (not making her better) AND I won't get in trouble for bringing ticks home.

Woo hoo!

IT'S A SPECIAL DAY IN MARYLAND

Happy Gotcha Day Gunnie the fabulous! There's some chicken in our fridge and I'll be eating some for you today :)

Glad to hear things are looking up! Our humans are still trying to find our best pics (it's so hard to narrow that down) to share.

Ok...now I'm really hungry. All your talk about food...Golden Chicken...and I have another hour before lunch.
But I'm glad your human doesn't have any Lyme disease. That would be so not cool. Nasty ticks...HUGE ick-factor!

Daily Puglet readers, your good juju skills are needed for Cookie, a pug in Charleston, WV! I got an email from her parents, and they think she might have PDE. Please send all of your good thoughts and prayers Cookie's way!

Pug, wow! I think we should make it Golden Chicken Day, and we should celebrate it every year!
Super news about your human! Hope she gets to be 100% soon!

Gunnie, happy gotcha day!

Love,
Payton

Oh Puglet...I am so happy you got some golden chicken and way more happy your human is getting better...that is the best news of the day, well the best news so far, the day is not over I still might have a chance to get my own golden chicken maybe.

Oh no Payton, do not like to hear bad news...sending special juju by way of Dallas to Cookie!

Happy day to Gunnie today!

Hey Puglet, FoodTV makes me hungry too, but I still love watching it. How nice of The Man to bring you Golden Chicken to cheer you up. Being cooped inside with sick humans is ok for a couple hours, but anything longer than that is just plain boring.
I am glad to hear your human didn't get Lyme disease. I hear this disease is no fun at all.

Happy gotcha day Gunnie! There is no chicken in my fridge, but I will eat a cookie or two for you.
Licks,
Sabrina

Happy Gotcha Day, Gunnie!!

Sending lots and lots of puggle prayers and magic ju-ju over to Cookie, the pug in Charleston, WV. We'll pray it is NOT PDE. That is way not cool for pugs. Keep us posted.

How awesome would it be if EVERY day was golden chicken day? Instead of rain from water, it'd rain chicken. Oh and sand on the beach?? Nope, chicken skin...glorious chicken. Oh the world of possiblities!!
Glad your mom doesn't have lyme disease, mom was going to go out and buy her a coconut, they would mix it all up.
Wierd humans....

Chicken, my favorite. I get it raw with bones everyday! Mack and I are the luckiest doggies in the world.

Hope your human keeps feeling better and better everyday and you can get out again.

Drools and licks,
Minnie and Mack

PeeS: we found our fo-toes! Thanks

Oh man, Golden Chicken. I might have to get that on the way home.

Glad your human is able to stop the nasty pills. I thought if you had lyme disease you had to drink Tequila. Well, what do I know?

Didn't they even give you one bite? Wow.

Puglet,
Golden Chicken Day should be EVERY DAY! I never ever get it because of the vegetarian Mommys thingy. . . but it looks so yummy. When Mommy #2 is being benevolent she boils a WHOLE chicken for JUST ME! But it grosses her out so she does not do it too often.
Love Noodles

I haven't been on the comp for a few days, so I missed out on my daily puglet fix! So glad your human is getting better & doesn't have lymes. If that chicken is anything like the roasted chicken from Costco - it has to be yummy!

I love the gallery and looking at all the doggies & kitties = great idea and great pictures!! Thanks :)

Now Eli has stuck his entire body in the garbage can to eat anything thats in there..he's a piggy.

Glad your human doesn't have the tick disease, we hear its really bad.

Oh Happy Day to Gunnie...

Ooh, those chickens are good puglet. Next time you guys should eat the cardboard too, just in case!

I want a Golden Chicken! Please have your human contact my momma so she can talk her into getting me one. I've never had a Golden Chicken but I bet it's way better than my grain-free kibble. Can I come live with you?

To Puglet and your friends around the world, thank you for wishing me Happy Birthday!

It is amazing to see where everybody is from on the Puglet Friends Gallery - you are famous world wide Puglet. It is so nice to put names to faces, everybody looks so good, especially Ernest Picklebottom Meriweather III!

Unfortunately my human nor her man got me a Golden Chicken for my special day because to quote her "it is a waste of money to give you gourmet food, because you don't eat it".

Soooooooooo...... I have already received today two big "snack" servings and some Greenies with hopefully one more snack serving to come this evening. Yum!

The best part of the day so far was when she gave me the extra pleasure of watching Gabbie getting squirted with the dreaded squirt bottle for trying to scratch the flat screen T.V.---this is a big NO, NO, NO in our house.

Also she went out today and bought a really nice new rotating fan which I have been laying in front of "belly up" because it is 90 degrees in Maryland today and this dang fur is hot!

Thanks again everybody!!!

Hey Pug,
My human was wondering who "The Man" is.
Do you know?

Hi Puglet.

Our human and one of the non-Pugs get very, very sick (like it looks like barfin' flu sick) if they take Lyme disease med doxy (not to be confused with Doxies the wiener dogs!).

Glad your human doesn't have Lyme!

Puglet, Was Dutch so distracted by golden chicken smelling cardboard that he forgot to be scared of Nikon? He doesn't look scared in the picture, just hungry.

Glad your human got the good news from the human vet....hopefully she'll be better in no time.

My Mom put a baby picture of me in the "friends of Puglet" gallery so I'm going to tell her I'm not a baby anymore so she needs to add another grown up picture. I'm already one for crying out loud! Allie the boxer

The man is....THE MAN!

Glad your mom doesn't have Lyme disease. That would be terrible.

Sue VDB and Romeo said...

I love the picture of you reaching up for the chicken. The Man is the best isn't he?

Hope your human gets to feeling better soon. If she thinks the med was making her sick, she should have called the doctor.

Gunnie, I hope you had a happy whelp day.

Golden Chicken?? Puglet, I am so jealous! Granted, I have never had one since mom and dad don't eat meat but you make it sound sooo good! And to add insult to injury, my Auntie Karen just called to say she got herself a Golden Chicken after all this golden-chicken-blog-talk. For Her Self. Umm...care to share the love, Auntie? Sheesh!
Anyhow, super glad your human doesn't have Lyme Disease! Yay!
Sending good juju to Cookie!

Happy Special Day to Gunnie! You're pretty fabulous...MEOW!!

Puglet,
I think this is a fantastic example of the power of a dog's mind: watching the food channel leads to Bring Me Something Tasty Thoughts, then The Man shows up with a Golden Chicken! AND you're human doesn't have lyme disease - all due to PPT (Positive Pug Thoughts)!

I'm sending Cookie some magic beagle juju and a belated Happy GD day to Gunnie! May the universe bring some Golden Chicken to your door.
