SOOO PO'd

If you read my post on how to take on a mountain lion, you know the face I'm making is supposed to be menacing.

Yes, menacing. As in mad and not afraid to do something about it.
And not because I won't get to spend the next 11 days eating anything I want (72% of you say there will be a May 22nd). No. I'm menacing because some jerk at the Post Office (who must be related to that WHENCE lady) did something really uncool.

Y'see, when Dutch's new special drugs to stop the mysterious scratching made him stop eating, my human stopped giving them to him. She didn't want a whole brand new bottle of drugs to go to waste, so she found someone who could use them.
Someone like Payton in Illinois.

Payton has PDE (Pug Dog Encephalitis) and needs special drugs to stop seizures. No idea how my human knows this stuff, but somehow she knew that Dutch's no-scratch drug and Payton's no-seizure drug are the same thing. So she packed up the drugs so they wouldn't look or sound like drugs and sent them off to Payton.

What happened to my drugs?

A few days later we got a thank you email from Payton & her people. Well, sort of. It was more like a good news, bad news email. Apparently on the way to Illinois, our package mysteriously opened up and spit out the drugs.

Not the note inside from me -- just the drugs.

This was not an accident people. I saw the envelope and it's totally obvious that some postal jerk opened it up STOLE Payton's brain drugs. I mean, why would anyone want dog brain drugs??

Sorry to be all menacing, but I just want you and Karma and the rest of the internet to know what happened. I'm sure the postal people are mostly completely cool and honest, but if the postal jerk who stole the drugs is reading this...

You see the look on Payton's face? That's the look of a pug who just had her brain drugs stolen.

JUJU S.O.S.
A friend of the Three E's needs some superserious good juju.
Her name is Zoe and yesterday she got bit IN THE FACE by a rattlesnake. Yes, a snake! Not so good. She was taken to the hospital to get anti-venom and I'm hoping she's doing much better today. Zoe, our juju is with you!

IT'S SPECIAL IN CANADA
Maxwell (another Canadian beagle) from Prince George, BC is celebrating his whelp day today... and I'll be eating a fresh PB + Banana + Baaacon cookie to celebrate with him. Happy WD Maxwell!

Zoe, sending good thoughts to you.

Maxwell, have an awesome day.

I'm pissed now, too, Puglet. Payton could have used those drugs. My mom hates the Post Office. Hates a strong word, so she pretty much reserves it for the Post Office. Of course someone stole those drugs. Hope they choke on them.

There, bad karma going out to the thief.

Newman!! I can't believe the postal people stole Payton's brain drugs! The nerve!
So sweet of you to send them though...it's the thought that counts, right? I love your postcard!! Glad that made it :)
Happy Day to Maxwell!

Hi Puglet,
What big fat jerk would steal life saving drugs from a pug...specially Payton. Thats just way way wrong. If the nasty person who stole them takes them...we hope you get sick!

Gracie - thanks for the juju for Zoe, if you were at Pug Nationals in North Carolina she was there with us.

Zoe came home this morning but is not out of the woods yet...keep the juju coming for our special friend.

HAPPY B-Day to Maxwell..we'll eat sweet potato cookies in your honor.

I just can't imagine what a human would want with brain drugs...but it sure sucks and I have a feeling Karma will take care of it. You sure look menacing Puglet. I wouldn't want to be on your Bad List and, unfortunately for them, the Post Office is now on it.
Sending out good juju to Zoe. Don't like those creepy mean snakes...they are SO creepy.

Dear Puglet,
First, extra good juju to Zoe and Payton, and you and your human for attempting to do good deeds by sending Payton the drugs. And happy day to Maxwell!

To the postal jerkface that stole Payton's drugs, look out for Karma. Our human says karma will get 'em.

XOXO,
Coco

Happy whelp day to Maxwell. I've got a peanut butter bacon cookie with your name on it.

I am without words for the postal jerk. Sometimes humans can be horrid.

Oh man Puglet, that is so very uncool! Poor Payton. Some postal people are cool, and some are not. When we used to live in Los Angeles, there were DAYS when the idiot mail person would decide not to deliver the mail. And when he did decide to stop by, only about half of our mail would make it into our box (and the other half would go into other people's boxes!).

Anyway, good juju out to both Payton and poor Zoe!

Puglet,
Unfreaking believable! Unfortunately, the no-goodnik could tell through the envelope that there were pills and scoffed them!

My human doesn't trust the Post Office either and sends stuff disguised in bubble wrap and in a box.

So sorry Payton- I'm sending you and Zoe some stay healthy & strong beagle juju.

Speaking of beagles...
Happy Birthday Maxwell!

Feel better soon....
Eh, Beagle is taking over Canada ! HBD to you, Maxwell.
As for the missing drug.. Gotta say WTF! Rude, just plain rude. Puglet, anything we can do to help? Donation for replace Paytons drug? Let us know. We are not rich, but if we can do something !! My brother has a physical today, Mom is not looking forward to get yelled at. Yup, he gained back few lbs over the winter.

Much love

Happy happy day to Maxwell!
Rattlesnakes? Scary! Maybe you could teach Zoe how to scare them away (ya know- like the mountain lions). We sure do hope that she is feeling better soon. All our best jujus to Zoe today.
Poor sweet little Payton! How could someone be so cruel...and dishonest? We don't have any pug brain meds to send Payton, but we are sending her lots and lots of love and good wishes.

Oh Sammy - you're so nice. Payton's people take very good care of her so she'll always have drugs (take that PO jerks!). The ones we sent were just extra ones that needed at home.

So, whatever happened with the WHENCE incident, anyway? The the police and/or the insurance company catch them? Inquiring pugs want to know!

So the post office stole the brain drugs after you paid to have them shipped? i think first you need the money you paid for shipping back, and second they pay what you paid for the brain drugs in the first place. thats called STEALING and its wrong. i know the post office is wonky about sending medicines in the mail but if they were going to open up the package and steal it, they should have told you up front.

the post office recently screwed up here too. my mom sends rent from out of state and a post office machine ripped up her check so they just put it in a bag and sent it along! so my rent was late cuz they messed up!

Maggie the Pug in Dallas said...

Oh my...humans can be such jerks! So sorry that cute little Payton did not receive your wonderful gift Puglet! How very nice of you and how very horrible and mean of that person at the PO! If I could go find them I would and then, and then, well, I don't know what then, but it would'nt be nice!

And, so sad to hear about Zoe, I hope we hear a good update on her.

Happy WD to Maxwell, after all the other news I was glad to hear I have a reason to eat a cookie now...thanks Maxwell for making it a good day!

Oh Puglet, try not to be angry. It was mostly likely the fault of a machine. Those machines just chew stuff up like crazy. We had something similar happen, but the pills sent here wound up as powder. Our mom learned to mail that kind of stuff in boxes.

We do send healing puggy vibes to Zoe and to Payton.

You Postal Jerk, I'm so angry with you!! Our sweet friend Payton needs her brain medicine, and you, postal jerk, need a new heart, you obviously don't have one.
Payton, we are sorry about the mean people in the world.
Zoe, we are sending you unending, loving, healing juju. Really hope you're doing okay.
Happy Whelp Day Maxwell from me and my siblings here in California.

Oh Puglet, that makes me so sad and so mad. The look on her face! The Universe always delivers, I'll say that much!

Payton said...

Crazy stuff, huh? But I told Pug and Dutch that it was the thought that counts. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes! And Sammy, such a nice gesture, but no worries - as Pug said, my mom and dad have it covered.
Zoe - ouch! Lots of good thoughts coming your way.
Maxwell, happy birthday!
Love,
Payton

We are also sending uber-good super jujus to Zoe's family wallet- we heard on the news last night that 1 vial of rattlesnake anti-venom costs $500!

Hey everybody!

Sorry to get you all PO'd off too. I promise the rest of the week won't be sooooo... heavy.

I kinda thought my human was being a freak when she stuffed the drug container full of cotton & wrapped it in bubbles. I guess not.

From now on it's boxes only. We just mailed Coco's Stella & Chewy treats - I hope the PO doesn't eat them too!

Well, now there are TWO hissing mad Tabbies up here in Oregon who share their indignation with you, Puglet, and poor Payton!
Good Karma will come to you, Puglet, for the (not-so-random) Act of Kindness, AND, I like to believe, BAD Karma will come to the nosy, thieving postal worker who stole Payton's drugs! Phooey on that person. Major big fat phooey.

Man that totally bites about the drugs. Talk about bad karma being put out into the 'verse.
You have to be careful with those postal people for sure.
Good juju to Zoe. Ouch! I heard rattlesnake tastes like chicken...maybe the rattlesnake heard pugs taste like chocolate. Maybe it wanted to give Zoe a little try

Hi Puglet! My friend Xabi just told us about your blog and WE LOVE IT. We are also 25+ lb. pugs (but just baaaarely) who love treats and ESPECIALLY golden chickens. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!! xoxo, Gracie and Theo

That really stinks. If our human sends anything that someone might think is valuable; she totally disguises it and puts extra heavy duty tape everywhere...if they want it , they are gonna have to work for it.
We are sending all the good juju we can to a fellow Zoe. Feel better soon. Our thoughts are with you.

My old doggie friend Dixie was bitten in the face by a rattle snake 4 different times. Her vet said if you are going to bitten by a snake, the face is the safest place. After the first time, the vet said to just give Dixie Benadrill and she would be fine. It worked just fine... untill the last time. Dixie was a snake charmer and used to go around the farm looking for them. The last time the snake bit her in the neck. She went to the rainbow bridge within the hour. Dixie was my best doggie friend and I miss her alot. Zoe - we are sending you the best JUJU in the world. Dixie sends her love from the Rainbow Bridge and says that they are not ready for you to go play there yet!

THE PUGLET said...

Oooh. That makes me sad for you & Dixie. But I guess I'm glad Zoe got snaked in the face?!?

I've never seen a snake, but my human says I would probably try to charm them too. And not in a good way.
