OPERATION DAISY

I could spend the rest of the week telling you about all the things Dutch got for turning 8. But there's something way more important I want to talk about instead. Her name is Daisy, she's lost and is kinda starving.

We saw signs about Daisy last weekend where we parked our car for the c
ow hike. Some ridiculously nice people named Susan + Bill made sort of treasure map so people can help look for Daisy.

On the trail, Susan + Bill left more clues. It's kinda hard to read Droid's picture, but the sign gives directions to Daisy's favorite place and a food bowl Susan + Bill have been filling. They also left their phone number so anyone who wants to help can join Operation Daisy.

I know it's really really sad to think about Daisy out there with the cows, hungry and lost. But it's also really really REALLY awesome that people like Susan + Bill took the time to try and help her. I mean, if I was lost and hungry I'd totally want complete strangers making treasure maps to help other complete strangers find me. Wouldn't you?

Yeah, I thought so.

Anyway.. my human called Susan + Bill to thank them for being so awesome and we volunteered to fill Daisy's food bowl on Saturdays. The sort of good news is Daisy found a friend and isn't so alone - but this means there are now TWO lost dogs living in the wild with the cows.

We'll let you know what happens on our first mission. And if there's any extra juju out there, please send it to Daisy and her friend in Wildcat Canyon.

It breaks my heart to think about all the lost dogs out there. In fact, it's hard to believe that some of our good friends were lost at one point too. We will send up some prayers for Daisy and her friend.
But you know, Pug, it also warms my heart that there are good people out there like Susan and Bill and your human that really care.
Love,
Payton

Oh, that is so sad about Daisy. I hope she lets the humans catch her and take her to a nice house. It's really nice to know people care and are trying to at least feed her.

Here, a dog has been lost in airport(she was on wild around airport)and the military man make like as "good trap with food" and every days he see. He made soo much "traps" on forest and obtained success (12 days after he found her!)and today the dog is at house sooo happy.
Poor Daisy. I hope that they found her soo fast.

Thank you for helping Daisy. My big sister, Snap, is a Boxer. So we think they're almost as special as pugs.

Prayers that she/he is captured in time. Might Daisy be deaf? Sometimes white Boxers can't hear.

Maggie,

You are right! If Daisy hadn't been seen, I'd start wondering about aliens.

Hiya Payton,

Ditto!

I'm hoping the same thing. Living with the cows would be cool for a little while - I'm hoping Daisy comes to her senses and lets someone bring her indoors.

Fred!

That is such a nice happy ending. I hope all the food we are leaving will work as a "trap" for Daisy's stomach and she'll let herself get caught :)

Thanks everyone for the double protection, prayers + extra juju!

My first people had a boxer so I'm a huge fan too. My human wondered about the deaf thing too, since Daisy is white and skittish... but Susan said Daisy seems to hear OK.

OH, how super sad....maybe someone could stake out the food bowl, and capture her there somehow...like a humane food bowl trap of some kind???...desperate dogs call for desperate measures I would think...we three N.Y. puggies will be praying real, real, hard for daisy and friend...and all the nice people helping them...:O)

Susan here of the Susan and Bill who first saw Daisy (and her companion "Delmar"). We thank you ALL for your words of encouragement and support. Clearly dogs rule and we humans gotta do everything we can to honor that. We haven't seen the dogs in about 2 weeks but we're still hoping they're out there getting the food. Fingers crossed we can save 'em!
