FABULOUS LITTLE THINGS

I probably don't need to tell you this is *not* my idea. If I had thumbs we'd be talking about liver.

Arrgh!

Ok. Here's Dutch...

Hello everybody! I know Pug has told you our life is soooo boring. He has probably told you this is all or some of my fault. We haven't gone on a singe hike since my surgery. We haven't eaten anything new, gone anywhere fun or done anything exciting because I've been getting better.

Some of this is true.

What Pug hasn't told you is we've been exploring our own neighborhood a little each day. At least I have. He's just been trying to pee on stuff. This is not easy to explain, but I never noticed how much there is to notice. So many fabulous little things!

I am here.
Google says this kind of thing can happen after an almost-death experience like mine. I asked our human if I can show you some of the things I've noticed. She thinks it would be cool for me to get a whole entire day to myself each week. Of course Pug thinks this is a terrible idea but my human says if it's OK with you, she'll make him let me do it.

What do you think??

We're all about having Dutch Day! Puglet, you're already such a big superstar. Surely it won't make your star shine any less brightly if you let Dutch have some blog time. Please, Puglet. We love you loads and loads (especially Molly), but we also love Dutch! And what if one of Dutch's fabulous things is you? Just think about that.

Dutchy, we think this is a superb idea. Our human has doing the same exact thing lately...noticing what most don't take time to notice...so she almost cried with happy to hear you're doing it too.

We love ya Puglet but sharing is good!

I think it's a great idea! Dutch and Pug offset each other perfectly and are both fun to listen to. Plus, I'm curious to hear what kind of cool adventures lie close to home! Much aloha. :)

Oh Dutchmuffin!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the idea of you doing the column once a week!! It's good to get a "big boy" perspective on things and we love you just as much as Puglet. Well, I actually love YOU the mostest of the most...(don't tell Puglet, it's a "big dog" thing between you & me). I VOTE YES!!

We are all in for a Dutch Day each week! He is a very quiet but insightful dog and we would love to hear his wise thoughts (and not to have to listen to grumpy Pug complaining - hehehe just kidding, we love you bunches!)

Hello P, D & A,
I'm back and would totally love to read Dutch's Weekly Perspective. Awesome!
My human just came back from a place where they love liver: calf liver (and calf head - recipe from 1689!), duck liver, duck gizzards, frog legs, other weird animals and body parts all cooked in lots of butter and cream. AND dogs get to go into all the restaurants!
She only ate cheese, salad and pastries- no calf's head! I was greatly disappointed.

Dear Amanda (& Pug & Dutch),
If I remember correctly you started the D.P. as a form of therapy 4+ years ago. Whether you continue to write it now for therapy or fun or a combo of both, the bottom line is - it's YOUR blog! You can do whatever you want!!! If adding a Dutch day gives you more "material" to write about and you want to do that, just go for it. Personally, I think your Dutch posts are hysterical and warm fuzzies all rolled up together. You are a talented writer. DO WHAT WILL MAKE YOU THE HAPPIEST AND BE MOST FUN FOR YOU!!!

Yes, please! Dutch is one cool spotted dude and I'd love to see more of what you find right in your neighborhood.

Can I ask a favor of all the DP sheeples? I just got a new pug foster sister who is having a rough time, she had a kazillion ticks on her that ate up all her blood, so we're supposed to feed her iron foods (like the very same liver A is supposed to eat, only not cooked and covered in some gross green goop) so she can make more blood and get well enough to be spayed. The problem is, now we think she is getting infected inside the thing you lose when you get spayed, so she has to be spayed before she gets all that new blood made. If the DPeople would send her some juju or vibes or prayers, we would really appreciate it, we all love her so much after only two days with her.

Dutch,

We think this is a great idea. Sharing the small things that make you happy can help us notice the small things that will do the same for us.

I say go for it, Dutch! I think Pug like it once he gets used to it. Hugs from NJ.

That sounds pugtastic Dutch! Come on Pug. I say you should let Dutch have a say each week and this would be an awesome way for you to show your human how mature you are.
