So, last night when we sat down to do today's Daily Puglet, my human asked if we could make today's post about some stupid Frolic thing. And of course I wanted to say no, but I didn't really have a good reason to say no.

So I made one up.

Uhm, we can't. I promised Stubby we'd write about his world tour.

Well, there's no reason we can't write about both.

And then I lied.

ME: Yeah. Except Stubby thinks your Frolic stuff is lame. And he'd be insulted if you lumped his world tour in with your Frolic thing.

And lied some more. Big time.

ME: Besides, a few Daily Puglet readers have told me they wish you'd keep your stupid Frolic stuff off my blog.

And that's when she got kinda sad and told me all about the stupid Frolic thing, and some dog named Miss Selma who needs a home and how the Frolic thing could maybe help her and... ugh. Did I feel like a great big jerk or what?

So, here's the latest stupid Frolic news. Starting today (like right this minute) Frolic has a new, new blog. And it's called - ready for this? - The freaking Daily Frolic (minus the freaking part). My human said she loves how much people enjoy the Daily Puglet, she got all inspired to do a daily for Frolic too.

She promised me that The Daily Frolic won't be anything like my blog (except for the Daily part) and won't get in the way of my blogging. It won't be as funny or as cute as The Daily Puglet and there will be no cool adventures. Instead, it will mostly just be pictures of stranger dogs she shoots while walking around in the city. Without me.

But wait. There's more.

Every Monday will be "Adoptable Day" and will feature a local rescue dog in need of a home. That's where Miss Selma comes in - I guess my human took her picture yesterday when I was busy taking a nap. I think I can live with that.

OH. And in addition to Monday's 'Adoptable Day', there will be another special day. On Sunday. Anyone want to guess what Sunday will be?? Oh yeah. In honor of pugs everywhere, every Sunday on The Daily Frolic will be freaking PUG SUNDAY. And will feature a picture of a pug. A pug that is not me. Which I guess is OK if it's one of you guys, but if it's not?

Ugh again.

Anyway. That's the news. And since I doubt anyone is still reading, I'll save the stuff about Stubby's world tour for tomorrow.

Hey Puglet, Moms are good for making us feel guilty aren't they! We can't wait for Pug Sunday!

Hey Puglet, even though everything really is about you, it's nice that your mom is doing something good to help other doggies. And I don't think her helping others will take anything away from you -- really, and I think it may even result in more treats (you know those humans feel real guilty when they are forced to spend time away from their pups making those green papers so they use some of those extra green papers to get extra foodables). Can't wait to hear your take on Stubby's world tour though!

Hi Puglet,
Listen, I have something to tell you. I want to set things straight before you find out on your own. My Mom went over to that freakin' Frolic site, and she signed up for it. Yea, she's gonna get The Daily Frolic every day in HER mailbox, not mine. I want you to know I had nothing to do with it. I fully support you and am behind you 100% as it pertains to these other dogs and such. I mean, I don't begrudge your human pursuing happiness and helping other dogs and stuff. But my allegiance lies with you first and foremost. That's all.

Awww, thanks for your support. It's good to know I have *friends* who'll watch my tail. I have a baaad feeling this is just the beginning.

We went over to Frank The Pug's house the other night and his dad is like some social networking internet geek and my human + him hatched all sorts of plans for world frolic domination. Or something crazy like that.

My only hope is my human's total uselessness when it comes to things like... oh... social networking and ipads and fancy smartphones that tweet. Paws crossed.

Hi Puglet..we got your *tail* buddy. We read your blog every day and most days we just laugh.. as much as pugs can laugh. We will never desert you, even though our human signed up to receive the Daily Frolic. Hang tight Puglet ... this could lead to more adventures that involve you!! Puglet - it's a wonderful thing your human is doing. I wish there were more people like her in the world. I hope Miss Selma gets a great home soon.

Bad news here too, Puglet. My human just signed up for the Freaking Frolic. It must be a human thing, but I'm sure it won't be as cool as your blog.

Hello Puglet! We just wanted to let you know that your mommy is doing an awesome thing. WE hope you are having a great Monday!

Hi Puglet...if I send my picture, will your human put it up on PUG SUNDAY? I'm already a pug model (Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue calendar, March 2009 - aka "Miss March"), so I'm sure I can find a sassy picture that will bring the crowds. I promise I'll still read your blog every day, though.

I wish my human would help me make a blog so I wouldn't have to keep soliciting the spotlight like is hard when you're a rising star.

My human just subscribed to the freakingfrolic site also. I sure hope she doesn't ignore us when she starts reading all these daily sites she loves. She is wondering if the flat puglet project is over with now. She said something about fingers in lots of pies and that sounded like food to me and gang. I should look into that. You're a very good sport and don't worry. The Frolic thing will make life more interesting. I promise.

OH - pug sunday is for pictures of your puggy friends in San Francisco. I don't think I can get there by Sunday :( Booo! Alright - time to go look cute in the hopes that I'll get my own blog someday.

Hey Puglet,
Nothing can beat The Daily Puglet but I gotta say that The Daily Frolic is freaking fantastic! The bad part is my human will pine over dogs like Miss Selma that she'll want to adopt but can't.
By the way, I love today's black and white photo of you, very 50s vintage cuteness. I also think your human is as photogenic as you and brother Dutch, so encourage her to step out more in front of the camera.
P.S. Can't wait to find out about Stubby's world tour. I'm guessing he started a rock band.

Hmmmm. Do you think less humans will visit the new blog if I hack the computer and rename it the Stupid Freaking Frolic? I think that sounds like a reallly good name, don't you?

Wink. Wink.

Hi Miss Annie in VA ~

Yeah. The Stupid Freaking Frolic is for my human's photography stuff. But since you don't have your own blog, I'll post your picture here if you want.

Just email dailypuglet{at} and I'll introduce you to everyone here :)

Hi Phoebe in Oregon ~

My flat self isn't dead, he's just... taking a really long nap. There are about 20 of them on our kitchen table right now, waiting to go someplace. My human keeps promising she'll resuscitate Flat Puglet but then she has some sort of frolic or ipad or HAL or nikon or wordpress or website crisis and poor flattie gets forgotten.

Maybe it's time *I* bust out some emotional blackmail!!!

Wow, your human sure is busy these days, Puglet. I can see there's still a lot of adjusting to get used to, with her spreading her attention to a lot things and all. Keep venting, Puglet. We have your back end/tail.

Lexie wants to be part of Pug Sunday!! But I'm guessing only pictures your human posts up will be on there? Here are some pictures of Lexie from her spa day--you should get your human to treat you to one too!

Hi Pug. We feel your pain...we've been there. Our human goes to this evil place called school & it takes ALL of her time - actually OUR time. It's hard at first but you grow accustomed to it...okay, you tolerate it. We make a horrid pug being murdered sound every time we think she going to leave or she gets her leaving stuff together. Maybe we should start a support group or something; a dog abandoment group.
We do like the idea of finding forever homes for dogs who need them. So that's a good thing. We'll try to keep our human from the freaking Frolic thingy. Anything to help a friend. We're here if you need us to talk you off a ledge or anything like that.

Hi Puglet. When your mom brings you to Portland to make up for the freaking daily frolic and to take pictures of us together (and maybe I'll let Jenny in on one), maybe she'll bring you here!

Hi Pug,
Keep your chin up and your tail curled. Your Human is doing a great thing in helping with finding forever homes for recycled dogs.

Hugs to you and Dutch.

Puglet, here's the thing: while pug hearts are REALLY big--maybe not physically, but capacity-wise--human hearts are a little bit bigger than THAT, even. Which means there's a LOT--even a TON--of room to love a LOT of dogs, and not just pugs. So while your pawprints (and Dutch's) are copiously all over your human's heart--which she knows--her big heart is being shared with oodles of other pooches. There's so much room for everyone! And you're the pug that started it all! Something to be very proud of, even if it takes adjusting.
And I have only ever known pugs to be incredible Drama Queens, but I say that with lots and lots of affection.
Your fans adore you, Puglet. :-)

Hey Pug, I totally love your human's new website/job. When she comes and takes pictures of me, you're not going to think she's cheating on you right? I mean I wouldn't want to step on your paws or anything. Who do you think taught me everything I know about being a model pug? With your poses and sexy style, there is no going wrong.

LOL I can't believe you actually said all those things to your human, Puglet! But that's the, I hesitate to say, Puglet we love! ; )

Oh Puglet,
I think the new website is awesome! A whole day to adoptable dogs?! I'm all about that right now. My mommy is fostering a pug that needs a forever home. I get really sad though when I think about it because that would mean Lincoln would be gone :( He's already kind of sad, being dropped off and stuff...
Anyway, maybe my mommy will adopt him still!

Awww, Minnie ~

Sounds like that Lincoln dude needs a hug! My human used to foster spotted dogs like Dutch. And then I came along. And stayed. And now it's just the two of us. You never know..........
