FFF: baby me

I'm the big little one.

I have no idea how my human forgot she had these pictures of me, but that's what I heard her tell Bellatrix's mom last night. Her exact words?

I must have looked at these before, but I really don't remember them.

Don't ask me how you can look at ridiculously cute baby pictures of your one and only pug... then completely
FORGET you ever saw them. But I guess these things can happen to gimpy-brained people.

Ok, honestly - I don't really remember these pictures either. And I'm in them. My first human took the pictures before I was recycled and sent them to my now human so she could see how cute I used to be.

I don't think I've changed very much, do you?

I LOVE the second picture! You should make your human look at these adorable pictures every time she is mad at you, so she can forget about all those bad thoughts instantly!

Hi Puglet, You look, boyish!
I am a recycled pug too. Someone had me for two weeks before my forever mom got me. I heard my mom say I was *damaged*. My back legs are bowed and I have a bad leg scar that has no fur on it. Nobody knows what happened to me and I can't remember, I was only 9 weeks old then. Like you I now have the best ever forever home. My mom says even with funky legs I am a kick a** agility dog.

Hi Puglet-I am also a recycled Pug. Before my forever mom got me I lived in a nice home with a small child who got allergic to me. My forever home rocks and I am the star of the house. It looks like your first mom loved you a lot. What is your story about why you got recycled?

The other night I was fast asleep and mom was watching "ANTM" and on the computer, when I hear her start to squeal, then started in on the "AWWWWW"'s then began the "Oh how frekin' cute"'s. Hmmm...then she calls dad over and shows him the computer...then they start in with their "puppy voices". I had to investigate because if they think we're getting another dog in my house! but I look on the screen and it's you! I had a look and you were super adorable, like just a mini version of your current self. So I didn't mind sharing you with mom and dad...so I let her have at it. Thank goodness the "puppy voice" stopped after a few.
As always Pug, you're looks are top notch!

AWWWWW.... Thanks for sharing these. You're adorable now so it stands to reason that you were an extrasuper adorable puppy. I've only had recycled cats and dogs that were already "adults" so I need to get my puppy fix whenever I can!! Thanks so much!

Heya Puglet,

Holy crap, I thought you couldn't get cuter -- my human says you look "smooshable", you have definately aged well!

Want to hear my story?

I'm recycled too, like a lot of times, and I just turned three. By the young age of 1 1/2 I had already had *3* homes. Some old couple bought me from a puppy factory and said I had too much energy, ditched me to some other people who locked me in a jail cell all day (apparently *I* didn't get along with the other dog), and then I ended up at this huuuuuuuge recycle house that was run by like 10 pugs & their humans. Originally my now humans had her eye on 'Max' but I totally bribed him away from them and they picked me instead. Suckers ;)

They've had me for 1 1/2 years, and I have been free to run and play with Penny Lane and the best humans a pug could have. I've never felt so loved.

Molly in PA

OMG, you were soooo cute! Good thing you mom "remembered" the pictures. What happened to the pink on your nose? We got Mack when he couldn't stay at my hu-brothers house because of the babies, so I guess he is a sort of recycled pug!

Puglet, SIGH! That is such an adorable baby picture of you. Makes me want to find my first Mommy and get some early pics of me. I am so cute now I am sure I was even cuter then (altho my first Mommy told my Forever Mommy that I was a little U-G-L-Y.
I don't believe it for a second. Thanks for sharing adorable you.

Puglet, you look soo cute...and sooo innocent!

The girls are both recycled Pugs. Pearl was recycled down in Mexico by a vet who goes down to do spay clinics. She was covered in mange and had eyelashes that scratched her cornea. The man who owned her was threating to throw her in front of a car to get rid of her. She came here and was fostered while she healed, and then went to her forever home. She is the sweetest thing, but a little afraid. Tessa, although recycled, has always been well taken care of and loved. She was actually bred a couple of times, and then given to someone who was suppose to show her. Long story, she ended back at the breeders, went to another home, ended up back at the breeder...It was unfortunate circumstances for the previous owners, but you can tell she has had a lot of love.

Together they are quite a pair, and all three of us have a lot of fun.

Puglet you were gorgeous then, and you are gorgeous now.

What a sad story about Pearl...I am so glad you were not thrown in front of a car. Happy forever home.

Romeo was almost 3 when I took him in. His previous owners had them in jail for up to 16 hours a day while they ran their business. He didn't like going to the vet because he had to go into a crate...that is until I found a seat belt harness for him. Now is likes car rides.

Fatty Cat Jones and Benny Cat Jones are both recycled, though we don't know what happened to them before they came home.

I would like to recycle more cats and a pug if I could. But so far Mr. B says the animals cannot outnumber the humans. :)

The pictures of you as a toddler are great Pug! I agree with your other friends, keep them in your back pocket for leverage when you get in trouble. ;p

Awww, thanks everyone for awwwwwing over my baby self. Guess I am pretty freaking cute, huh?

It's always so cool to hear everyone's recycle stories. I mean, some of the stories are pretty sad and/or make me mad, but I know if you're here, reading my blog, then you must have found and awesome 2nd (or 3rd or 4th!) home.

Yay to you!

And I guess me... and I guess Dutch too.

Hi Puglet,

I love those pictures! Who is the baby pug next to you? @ fat pug, I totally agree with fat pug. Show it to your human every time she gets mad at you.

Uhm, my human said my first human said the little little pug was born with me but "didn't make it". I don't exactly know what that means, but I'm pretty sure grew up an only pug.

In the third picture, you can totally see the spunk in your eyes Puglet. Your personality is totally defined, that spunky, tough Pug we have all come to know and laugh from.

PS There must be a place or website where people share their recycled stories and show pics. I would love to see something like that, to share with family and friends who are thinking of buying instead of adopting. Does anyone know?
