MORE GROSS THAN SCARY

Uhm. I don't know what the other 11 secrets Dutch thinks he knows about me are, but all I have to say about "Pug Secret #9" is this:

Yes, I am afraid of freaky things that hover over my head and act like they want to kill me or some
thing. And if you saw that scary thing coming out of the wall at you, you'd be afraid too. And just in case you ever do see one, don't waste your time trying to scare it away because it's not afraid of barking. At all.

Oh. And at least I'm not afraid of mommy cows. Or lions.
Or farts!

Anyway. Since we're talking about scary things, check out what my human found in my fold yesterday:

In case you've never been attacked by a tick (and can't tell what's in the picture because my gimpy human took it with her phone) that thing in the picture is a tick.

If you ask me, ticks are more gross than scary. Which is a good thing because the sucker was stuck to my face and I think having something scary stuck to your face would be ridiculously scary.

It's bad enough the thing left a big red hole in my face when my human pulled it off:

Luckily the hole is hidden in my fold so only I (and now you) know it's there. Hey, maybe we can call it Pug Secret #13?

Ouch Puglet... does the red hole hurt?
We've never been bitten by ticks or had anything stuck in our folds, scary is not the word for that sore on your face.

We have fire ants where we live and them suckers really hurt when they bite. Ellie got bit on her bum and mom had to put stuff on it, me and Eli get bit on our legs and stomachs. Mom tries to stay from the ant mounds cause she lergic to all kinds of bug bites. But with the three of us walking and 12 paws we always step in something.
Ouch Puglet....just OUCH!

poor poor baby... ticks are scary. I found out a few things from my Madge baby getting them. #1 don't smother them with jelly or burn them it will only kill them & make them inject yuck into the wound. #2 don't have your human touch it EVER if they do make sure they wash their hands several times. They cause problems even to them when they don't bite as they are just disease infested grossness. #3 don't squeeze them when gently removing right behind the head with a tweezers as that also causes them to release yucky stuff too. Directly yank straight up.

Oh Wow Puglet!

Forget what I said last week about wanting to be a dog and go outside. If that super duper gross tick lives outside, well consider me an insider for life.

I have a fit when my human does our monthly nail cutting, I can't imagine how I would react if she had to pull a tick off and out of me. I think she would have no eyes and scratched up arms!

I am glad your human found the tick in your fold and am glad you are ok, but better tough courageous you than me!

Oh no Puglet! I had one of those tick things on my head. My human daddy had to take it off because my human mommy is totally afraid of bugs. (like plastic bag afraid). I hope your sore doesn't hurt. Just tell anyone who asks that it's a "battle" scar.

You may be afraid of wall sticker outters, but I bet that tick would have scared the pink collar off 'ole Dutch!

Hope your head hole heals soon (phew!).

Ohhh yucky tick!!! Bad tick!!!! Good thing your human spotted that sucker (hahah see what I did there?) My hubby's old dog (shar-pei/shep mix so she had lots of folds too) used to run freely in the forest by his house and she'd come back with ticks and I remember having to remove them all the time until I put my foot down and banned her from running freely in the forest and started putting Frontline on her.. They are dangerous... You don't want lyme's disease!

OH NO! Are you okay? Do you have the number of a plastic surgeon so it won't leave a scar? Poor baby!!

Take care of yourself!

Um...Eeew, Puglet! I've had two ticks- one under my armpit, and one on my ear. Nas-ty!
It reminds me of when you took that picture with the giant stuffed tick on your head- ahhh, the good ol' days when they were just toys!

Major eeew, dude! I can't imagine having that thing crawl on my face much less settle in my wrinkle!! Wow, you musta been sleeping or something!! So glad your human removed the offender. The hole isn't THAT noticeable.

Oh Puglet! Thats' horrible!! Ticks are so gross, luckly we really don't have them here where I live. Bad tick!!!

Darn tick...That looks like it hurts, Puglet! I think such an injury deserves a treat for your pain and suffering. Tell your human it's like when a person gets those things in their throats taken out as kids ("tonstells"or something like that) and then get to eat ice cream and jello for a week. Tell her that hole in your face is your tonstell and only ice cream will make it better.

Oh, and by the way, I never believed Dutch that you're a fraidy cat anyway. (:

Snorts and snarfles,
Bella

Hi Puglet,
We don't have ticks in Melbourne. My mama doesn't like ticks at all. Cos ticks killed quite a few of her dogs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Puglet! Use that hole in your face to get your human to buy you some soft serve!! Rub your face on her leg and whimper like it hurts then give her your best hungry orbs!!! Seriously though - hope that isn't as owie as it looks.

Ouch! Maybe use that tick bite to accumulate some treats! My sister who is a cat, Jane, got bitten by a tick because she is an outdoor cat. Really, it doesn't look as bad as Jane's did.

Get better soon!!!
