VIRTUAL PUG (AND OTHER DOG) SUNDAY

So, my man Stubby from Illinois (and his people) just drove all the way across Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah and probably some other places too so they could visit California. They'll be here later today and I'm suuuper excited.

Sooo excited I'm even excited about wearing the dorky stripey sweater.

Meeting up with Stubby
got me thinking about how cool it would be if we all lived in the same place. I know we're not driving across country or moving any time soon, and you probably aren't either - so I came up with this semi-genius way we can all be in the same place at the same time.

VIRTUAL PUG (AND OTHER DOG) SUNDAY!

HOW TO ATTEND

Email a picture of yourself to dailypuglet2@dphoto.com. Your picture will automatically be added to the Virtual Pug (and other d
og) Sunday gallery for all to see. It takes a few minutes for your cute virtual self to show up in the gallery, but don't worry. It will.

You can visit the Virtual Pug (and other dog) Sunday galleries at:

I haven't figured out a way for there to be cookies yet, so don't come hungry. But unlike the real Pug Sunday, the virtual one will last a whole entire month.

At the end of VP (AOD) SUNDAY, I'll pick one random name from the gallery to win a special pug-sized Henriettta Rubber Chicken (unless a non-pug wins, then it'll be a regular Dutch-sized one). Dutch says Pug Sunday wouldn't be the same without Henrietta and I don't want him to feel left out.

* * * PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING YOUR PICTURE * * *

NAMING YOUR VIRTUAL SELF
The file name of the picture you send will appear in the gallery, so if you want us to know who you are, make sure the file name is your name.

Example:

RIGHT:
puglet.jpeg

NOT RIGHT:
DSC_3489.jpeg

SIZE OF VIRTUAL SELF
The gallery will be slow to show off our collective cuteness if it has to deal with ginormous images. Please resize giant images before emailing them. Pictures 2MB or less are a-ok.

Also, we won't be able to see your cuteness in all its, uh, cuteness, if you send a tiny picture. A small picture is better than no picture, but aim for no less than 600px on the longest side.

NUMBER OF VIRTUAL SELFS
Gallery space is limited, so please send only (1) picture of your cute self. If you share a house with other cute selfs, it's totally OK for everyone to be in the gallery!

If you have any questions or problems, post a comment or email my human dailypuglet-at-gmail.com. Can't wait to almost-meet everyone :)

Hi Puglet,

What a SUPER idea you came up with to put your human to work! My mom will be sending over my pretty self today! This is *suuper* helpful since I am stuck in stupid Pennsylvania and my human would never drive me all the way to your Pug Sunday! Have fun with your man, Stubby!

Molly in PA

Oh Puglet - how exciting to meet Stubby in pugson! I wish I could be there. Tell him the Bay Area Pugs say "Woof! And welcome to sunny (hehe) California!"

And, What a great idea for the virtual PugSun... I will send my picture in very soon. This will be fun!

By the way... You look great in all decked out in your blue sweater!

OH, Cowpies. Spencer B, you totally reminded me that I forgot to mention Stubby's World Tour Bay Area Meetup. Again.

I'm not 100% sure of the details - I think our people are figuring them out today. But it's looking something like this:

WHEN: This Saturday!
WHERE: Crissy Field?
WHAT TIME: 11am ish?

Will do a real invite thing with all the info and stuff when I know all the info and stuff. So, uh, tomorrow.

YAY! The gallery is filling up with cuteness already!

Now I'm suuuuper superexcited.

Only bad thing about VP (AOD) SUNDAY is I'm getting to almost-meet even more out-of-state hotties. I'm pretty sure me and Jenny The Pug in Portland aren't in love anymore, but I just can't handle another long distance romance.

There's just too much distance, not enough romance :(

Great idea Puglet! We'll get mom to take our picture right away. Have a great time with Stubby - he may be a little slow on the move, but he is an awesome pugfriend!!

Wish we were there!!

Hi Puglet,

Our human is typing this for us. We're not as brilliant and talented as you are. In fact, our human is sort of dumb trying to figure out how to make the photo the right size. She wanted us to tell you that the only numbers she could find are (deep breath) 6.672 by 5.017 inches and 180 ppi. Does that mean anything to you? She said she was going to send that & hoped you'd let us know if we are able to go to a virtual party. We don't know exactly what that means, but if there are treats involved, we're all ready to be there! She said the treats are virtual, and that sounds YUMMY!

Ok. I think my human went a little overboard with all her fancy picture measurements. So. If your picture is less than 2MB big, you're ok. If your virtual self is bigger than 2MB big and you totally have no idea how to shrink it, email it to me and i'll make my human do it. Dailypuglet (@) gmail.com :)

Our pictures (or picture, maybe a group shot) are coming tonight, we need mom to help download the camera. Waving a big hi! to Stubby as you pass through Auburn (assuming you are driving that way!).

Hi Pug,
My Mom's brain went gimpy... She mistakingly sent to many pics. Would your Mom be able to delete the duplicates?
I'm really embarrassed for her goof up.

Hey Puglet,

I was hoping Dutch would make an appearance in the gallery too? Us long snouted dogs need to stick together (even if his legs are like a billion times longer than mine!)

Mr. Puglet,

Hope your virtual Pug Sunday allows kitties as my human sent in my photo. Even though we are a kittie household, we love us some PUG!

Yours in Fur!

This is a great idea. We always wonder what the Puglet community looks like. This is so exciting can't wait for Sunday. We've been on the DP before so we're not going to waste space with one of our pictures. We're so curious to see everyone else.

I love this idea Puglet, I guess if I can't meet you in the real world we will have to party in cyberspace. I will have my Mom send a picture of me (and my sibs I guess) for VPS.

THE PUGLET said...

Oh this is just too cool.

And I love that Miss Gunnie the kitty sent in her virtual cute self. All are welcomed at Pug Sunday - real or virtual :)

PS> Dutch is still trying to decide which version of his cute self to put in the gallery. For someone who hates getting his pictures taken, he's super picky about them. Such a princess!

Finally, we got our human to figure out her new camera...we are there! Boy, there are some hot looking pugs on this site...pant pant

Hi Puglet,

I have been asking my other half FOREVER if we can have a Pug just like you - he said we can but not until we have a much bigger and better garden. He found your blog and sent it to me so that I could get a daily Pug fix in the meantime and I just wanted to let you know that reading it is the highlight of my day!

Thank you!

Hey Puglet,

Thanks for letting everyone join pug Sunday! I bugged my human and finally she sent my calendar picture from 2009. I told you I'm a model! You're pretty cute yourself - wanna be my virtual boypugfriend?
