Because when all the other pugs were hanging out inside playing games and winning things, we were wandering around Marin Humane Society (the place where PugOween was happening). I'd gotten all the pizza I was ever going to get, and was afraid someone might show up with an extra costume I could wear or something so I was totally OK with this idea.
Marin Humane is very cool so there were tons of things to supermodel with. Stuff like dog statues and giant rock turtles, and this Brown Dog Fountain thing:
Now. What separates supermodels from posers is a poser just stands there - but a supermodel knows nothing but the camera. No matter what else is going on, it's all about the camera. And since I'm obviously a supermodel and not a poser, I totally didn't notice how completely freaky Brown Dog Fountain was until my human put Nikon away.
Uhm, yeah. Dog and cat heads that spit water at you? Completely freaky.

EAST COAST SPECIALNESS!A big fat happy to my man Frodo in New Jersey! We go way back -- he's been here since like day 1 with his kitty sister Cleo (and now pug sister Molly). Superhappy day Frodo! Me & Dutch will be eating cookies for you :)

That is so scary! Good thing they were fake. I would have totally barked my head off at them!!
That's a REALLY freaky fountain. Who ever thought of that? Why would you want to play in a fountain where dogs and cats are spitting at you? Weird.
You are very observent Puglet...its out of the ordinanry...same reason Tessa barks at the blue porta potta in the construction area by our house. It doesn't belong there.
Very cute pose by the way!
OK, that thing is super freaky! Who thought that up? We think it should spray eatables, then it would make sense.

Pug, I don't blame you for barking (loved the video...keep 'em coming). That fountain was strange and reminded me of those forest animals that people put on their walls. Very freaky!
Love,
Payton
PS. Happy, happy day to Frodo! I cookie for you and a cookie for me!
I totally flipped my lid yesterday at a cucumber. It fell out of the grocery bag, and I lost it. Barked really loud, and my mom thought it was funny, so she left it there. Then said smething about she'll leave a cucumber anywhere she wants me stay away from.
Happy Friday, Pugalishus

I'm so glad I didn't see that evil fountain. Who thought that looked good?? Gives me the heebee jeebees for sure. I'm glad you got away from it fast!
That is NOT a PUG friendly fountain with all those amputated pet heads on it!!!!
Love Noodles
You're barking at the black, tan and white dog head but the grey tabby head next to it, is even creepier.
Did Dutch come with you? I'm assuming he's lounging elegantly somewhere there in the background.
Happy Birthday Frodo! I'm going to insist on getting something tasty for you.
Puglet, we are not even going to address that fountain head thing. It's just nightmarish. Your modeling, on the other hand is dreamy!
Happy Happy Birthday Frodo! Enjoy your day and we'll be thinking of you when we eat a cookie in your honor. Live long and bark a lot!

Those Jersey Shore Puggles
Hey everybody!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that fountain is freaky. I made my human cut out the part in the video where some lady is laughing her you-know-what off at me.
Freaky!
Hiya P&T ~
I *hate* when things are where they shouldn't be. Sometimes I bark at trees that aren't in the right place. Y'know, like with all the other trees. Solitary trees cannot be trusted.
Meredith & Scarlet ~
Genius! A fountain that spits eatables. Even flavored water would be cool. Baaaacon water!
Hi Payton,
My human kinda thought the same thing about the forest animal heads. I don't know why the Humane people didn't think about that.
Noodles + BellaT ~
Amputated heads = Heebeegeebees
A cucumber Lola?? I've never seen one because my human can't stand them, but Google says it's just a vegetable. I'm pretty sure vegetables are vegetarians and probably can't hurt us.
PS: My human totally laughed at you too.
Hey Ollie!
Well, I started out barking at the creepy cat. But I made my human cut that part out because some lady was totally laughing at me :/
PS Ollie,
Dutch had to stay home because the event was a pug-only thing. I'm sure he wouldn't have helped me at all though. He's a big pink wimp.
Hiya JSP ~
Thanks for calling me dreamy *and* agreeing that amputated heads are scary.
You and Frodo live kinda close to each other (I think). Maybe you'll meet one day in the fur...
That was way more than freaky Puglet! You were brave just to be that close...like super hero brave!
Happy day to Frodo!
So funny seeing you bark at the animal head fountain! You are a brave Pug!
Thanks for the b'day wishes, mom spent the whole day with me & my human sisters baked me a vanilla cake. It was yummy! I shared a little bite with the furry sisters.
Hey Jersey Shore Pugs - maybe we'll meet you guys at the Jersey Shore Pugoween on 11/6?
This fountain is realy strange!! And yes it looks like heads of these poor bambies on hunter's wall!! i hate this kind of walls, freaky idea! And my Fredzik is just like you, he barks at everything that doesn't belong, he also barks at everything that does belong!
Have a great weekend Pug and Dutch and Human:)
Happy birthday Frodo, we just had cookie to celebrate your day:)
So THAT'S why you have so many adventures Puglet!! You should thank your human's, um, expansive and adventurous thinking! It means more adventures for you and Dutch!! Which we get the pleasure of reading about... : )
Creeeeepy! I would have barked too...
Heya Puglet,
I totally agree with you - very scary and I do not like animal heads of any kind at any place, how gross!
I am also barking at anything, anytime. The moment my inner feeling tells me that this or that is not in order - I protest. Could be a bike parked at the wrong place, in my opinion of course or a tree which does not fit into the landscape. That's the way we pugs are - always taking a stand!
Happy belated birthday to Frodo, I just had a belated cookie for you!
Sunday pug greetings from Berlin
Carlos Santana
Yes I always like reading what Carlos Santana has to say. The other day I met a black pug named Johnny Cash. Apparently we're a musical breed.
My mom told me to tell you that the coconut oil takes a couple of days of application and then the crusties will start to pop off. She said something about exfoliation but I couldn't stay focused because I found a stale tortilla chip on the floor while she was talking.
