SANTA BARBARA

Dancing skullys!
Sorry about yesterday's wordlessness. I guess my human was too busy honking and sneezing and leaking out her nose to help me type. Seriously thinking I need a new human. Or at least a back-up human. Y'know, for when my regular one is leaking or feels like poo or whatever.

Anyway.

Today I finally get to tell you about last week's mystery trip. It was to a place called Santa Barbara and we went to scout locations for pug shooting. It took like forever to get there (7 1/2 hours!) because of traffic stuff, so we didn't get to stay long. Before me and Dutch, my human used to live down there so I guess she kinda knew where she was going. This made it sooooo much better than the other scouting trips because the stupid navigation lady wasn't talking all the time.

 Chillin in Funk Town.
I didn't get to see much of Santa B. Mostly just a park, some street with lots of stores, and a beach that didn't want me on it. I met a very cool dude who was painting dancing skullys on a wall and my human found a whole bunch of funky murals in a place they call Funk Town. Dutch found some stupid pink store and was completely obsessed. We got in trouble for taking pictures in some mall thing. Then we went home.

 OBSESSED!
My human promises she'll take me to a dog beach when we go down there to shoot more pugs. I don't think Dutch gets to come but maybe if he's really really nice to me and gives me all of his cookies, his carrots, and half his food for the next month I will bring him back a stupid pink dog. But only if he's really super nice.

You're lucky to get to travel everywhere Pug. Except for the long car ride. Hope you get some fun treats from Santa B. Is that like Santa Paws around Christmas? Anyway, have fun! And bring Dutch a stinkin' Pink dog so he's not so pouty will ya?

Lots of licks,
Swisher and Oakley

I KNEW it was Santa Barbara!!!! I don't like that they have restrictions against PUGS on the beach. Against DOGS, I understand . . . but PUGS???? We're PRACTICALLY HUMAN, after all.

Hi O & S ~

Yeah, the car ride part sucked. I think I like planes better. I mean it took longer to get to Santa B then it did to go all the way to Miami!

Ok, ok. I'll bring Dutch a pink freaking dog. It will match his new pink plaid collar. He says it's something called 'madras' but if you ask me it's just P-I-N-K pink!

Noodles you are sooooo right. I bet we could have broken the rule if Dutch's spotted self wasn't there. I can just blend in with the sand.

Oh that sounds like a fun trip! A long one, but a fun one. Did your Mom bring snacks for the road? A DVD?

Well, she stopped to get snacks before we left but forgot why she was in the store and came out with a collar instead. I guess it was on sale.

It's got skullys on it and looks like this:

Later we stopped in some place called Slow (?) and she got some carrots though. I'd rather have carrots than a collar.

No DVD but some audiobook dude talked at us the whole entire time. Totally put me to sleep.

Hey Pug! Sorry about your human's leaky nose. Other than that, sounds like y'all had a good time. You know, if you're serious about having a back-up human you could totally use my grandmaw. She's got pretty fast typing thumbs and she bakes a mean cookie. Just sayin'....

mom says she would love to be your back up human...but she lives too far away to help blog about trips.

Perhaps a move is due in the near future?????

Puglet! You won't believe this, but we were right down the road from you the whole weekend...AND at the beach! We won't make you guess cuz we're sure you are tired and just thinking whaaaat! It was Carpinteria dude. That's the cool spot for us...movie stars at one end, and seals at the other end (ummh...we are not allowed in the middle, but who cares!)

Humans hoover us up down there. We even met a family that wants to adopt a pug named Stella from the Central Coast Pug Rescue cuz of our cuteness...Wow...we told them alllllllll about you! (We hope they read this and know its about them :)

See ya soon. We're modeling for your human on the 5th!

ur pictures were great! 7.5 hrs in the car is a long time...I can barely handle 45 min. to grandma's! Its to hot in iowa for anyone's nose to leak cos there is no water here...even our river is drying up!! You need to picket the beach that said "no dogs" it never said " no pugs!" Stella Rose

What you need is an assistant human. She went into a store for snacks and came out with a collar? She needs someone to help keep her head un-gimpified, you know like my human does for me when I start sniffing and forget to go pee.

Hi Puglet,
Our human went to Santa Barbara before we were even in the picture, she said its a nice place too bad the beach isn't pug & dalamation friendly that stinks.

We think you need to be nice to Dutch we think he's pretty in pink.

Too bad you didn't spend more time in SLO...our human went to college there, says its a pretty cool place, very nice downtown. Hasn't taken us there yet, so not sure on the dog friendly status.
