I've been so focused on the whole secret-life-of-my-human issue that I totally forgot to tell you about an adventure we had on Saturday.
Since Frank was here and he's not compatible with hiking, we skipped the cows and went to a dog show instead. It wasn't a show-dog show though. It was more of a fun show with costumes and prizes and stuff. Zoey and Phoebe were there and I heard they were dressed up like flying monkeys. It was too hot to wear a costume by the time we got there, so I didn't see what they looked like as monkeys. But it also meant we didn't have to get dressed up, so I was cool with that.
My spotted friend Miley was also at the dog show. Her human does Dalmatian Rescue and had a booth thing to teach people about rescues. There were supposed to be Dalmatians for adoption, but they didn't show up so me and Frank and Phoebe and Zoey stood in for them. We got loads of attention and a whole bunch of cookies, but I didn't love being trapped in the pen. Especially since Dutch got to be free and was totally gloating about it.
I'm not sure why I didn't get to be in any contests. I'm sure I would have won something, and even if I didn't, Frank would have. We could have split the prize or something. But no. We just got to spectate and pretend to be spotted. Miley won 4th place for being pretty and said we could share her ribbon. I'm not sure I want to win a pretty contest, but I liked posing with the ribbon.
Oh yeah. The giant dog heads? No idea. Anyone here know what they're all about??? Some reporter dude took a picture of my human taking a picture of us with them and we ended up in the newspaper. I haven't seen the picture, but news coverage is almost as cool as a ribbon, right?

Dude, my human says those are Doggie Diner heads! She said Doggie Diner was an eatery that was around a long time ago (before her). She said she didn't realize that there were so many heads(!) still around. She said when she was a pup there was a DD head in the driveway of a house down the street from her.
If you ask me, that's just creepy!!
Hey Puglet, you got a link to the cool newspaper pic of your human shooting you and Frank and Dutch with the big dog heads?
So cool Puglet. You have all the greatest adventures. That's so funny to see Dutch laughing. He tries to get it whenever he can, seeing as he always sees you getting all the attention.
You guys all look so cute. Thanks for helping out on such a great cause.
Wow, my human just told me she remembers (but had forgotten all about) when she was a kid and they would drive up to San Francisco from San Mateo...and there was a doggie dinner...not sure she is all with it...does that mean they ate doggies there?

Hee, I just had to chuckle at the Dalmatian rescue sign with two puggies behind it! You and Frank sure make a couple of funny looking dalmatians! Looks like you had a good time though! Still waiting to hear/see you get the secrets out of your human!
Wow, Puglet! The Yellow Neener is soo jealous you had pictures taken with the Doggie Diner heads!!!! Cool!
Can't believe all you got to do was spectate!!! What's up with that?!?!?!? You need be free to mingle next time!!
~hugs~

My mama said she used to go to the Doggie Diner as a child. That was located across the street from the S.F. Zoo. She also told us stories about the one on 25th & Geary and on Mission Street. She said they had good hotdogs there. So sad that a place with a doggie head could fade away huh?
Puglet, you have allll the fun. My mom never takes me anywhere that cool and I know, just based on my own amazing pugadorableness that I would score tons of attention and cookies! I think I need an intervention to get Mom out from under her boring rock.....Jax the Pennsylvania Pug
Puglet - why did you guys get in the paper?! I think its totally tied to the Seattle secret! That's my hunch. I say you go full blown with the interrogation tonight beccause your friensd are DYING to know! If you need back up - consider us on our way!
Your Ohio Puggle friends,
Lando & Harvey
Hmmm. I didn't know the Doggie heads had anything to do with food. You don't think... No... Not the doggie serial killer thing again.
Keik and Ruby ~
Holy Cowpies! The Doggie head by the zoo is *still* there. I've seen it but guess I never paid attention because it didn't seem to mean going to a pet store or anything. Weird.
So Doggie heads = Hotdogs??
Uh, and is it just me or does the Doggie with the red bowtie thing give you the creeps?
Puglet--I can tell you weren't too happy being laughed at by Dutch while you were "contained". Do you think he was annoyed when you "mooned" him?
Or maybe you asked Frank to moon him...
Puglet, you get to go on the best adventures!

We did have a lot of fun. Do you need a copy of the paper you were in? We think we still have one. If you want to see us in our costumes as flying monkeys check out our blog The Good, The Bad & The Pugly. We took the pictures in the morning when it wasn't hot. Our human told us that the Doggie Diner used the doggie heads for a mascot, they didn't serve actual dogs. We were so scared.
Luv, Zoey & Phoebe
P.S. Phoebe is sorry for mooning Dutch, we think that might be her butt
Woof! Woof! How FUN is that. You guys sure looks great. Golden Congrats on winning. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Now that you mentioned it, that one with the red bow tie is just a little weird looking...I think little puggies might want to stay away from him.
Puglet and Dutch and Frank too,
What a fun time you all had. Great imitation of dalmations. Dutch, you were enjoying it just a touch too much, but who wouldn't. LOL
We just added two more recycled pugs to our family. Olita and Dutchy. That's right, another Dutch. Olita is a little bridle girl and Dutchy is a fawn boy. They are both 18 months old. They were former breeders. Dutchy has already had his boy parts removed and Olita gets her surgery next month. Olita already has her own blog thanks to our human's granddaughter. Thanks for the great pictures,
Phoebe in Oregon
How nice of all of you to stand in for the Dalmations. What a classy bunch of pugs!
You all look so noble and proud standing in for the rescue dalmations. Hooray for Puglet and Co.!
Aw, thanks :P
Being a Dalmatian wasn't much different than being a pug, except pugs get more cookies because we are waaaay cuter.
Sorry Dutch. And Miley. And Bokeh. And anyone else with spots.
Wierdo dog heads. Geese. Mom loves to take pics with stuff like that, but the creep factor on those three was off the charts.
Flying monkeys..Great costume idea.
How the heck is it fair that Dutch didn't have to be in prison when he has the spots?? I am charging your mom for illegal pug holding.
Kitty and Coco
Yes, dog in red bowtie and chefs hat is mega creeps.
PS Who's that cute she-pug standing next to you Puglet? What a cutie.
