HARRY

Sorry if I freaked anyone out on Friday with the whole Go Hug thing. I knew it was important but wasn't ready to talk about why.

I'm still not 100% ready, but here goes.

My friend Harry (of Harry + Lily) is dying. He was acting a little funny so his humans took him to the vet last Wednesday. The vet took pictures of Harry's insides and said his lungs are full of the C-word. I saw the pictures. It looks like his lungs are filled with little black Christmas trees.

Harry also has the C-word on his liver. It looks like an apple in the pictures.

The vet said there's no way to fix the kind of C-word Harry has. The christmas trees in his lungs are making it hard for him to breathe so he won't stay alive much longer. Friday morning we went to Harry's house to visit and say goodbye.

I asked my human if we could bring Harry a goodbye present. She thought this was an awesome idea so we stopped at Wendy's place and got a him a Baconator. If it wasn't for Harry and his people, I never would have met a Baconator.

I've said goodbye to friends before but only on the internet. It's different in the fur, when things smell funny and all the humans are sad and leaky. I'm glad we brought the Baconator because I think it made Harry feel better. He even let me have a bite, because Harry's cool like that.

Goodbye Harry.

It's so sad when you have to say goodbye to a dear friend. You were very nice to bring him a Baconator and he was very nice to give you a bite. That's what friends are for.

So very sad...

Harry seems like an awesome friend.

Lots and lots of love to Harry and his people. May his journey to the rainbow bridge be peaceful and may his humans find comfort that he's not in pain any longer.

It's the hardest of times...lighting candle for Harry. Peace sweet boy.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend Harry. Right after I was adopted by my family I had the pleasure of meeting one of their family members Buddy. He passed away shortly after I arrived. Our time together was very short, but I know my family loved him very much. xoxo

Oh Pug,
I'm so sorry for Harry, his family and all his friends. Saying goodbye is so painful, but on the Rainbow Bridge there is no pain; only toys, sunny days, lots of baconators, thousands of friends, love and joy. I will keep Harry and his humans in my prayers.

Oh Pug, it is a sad time but it's so good that you visited and had the opportunity to do so! my human had a very sweet dog-friend and when he got to the last days, his people found it too hard to share the sadness and kept quiet, so the next time she visited he was just gone, without the chance to say goodbye... This is much sadder, but much better too. <3

Puglet:
In Minnesota we're all leaky for you. (Well, we're frozen, but still leaky.) My human always says no one should EVER have to have the C-word, especially dogs. She says dogs don't deserve it. I totally agree.

Bringing a Baconater to your bestest buddies is an act of selflesness, and was very nice. Your human should get you your own baconater for how nice you were.

We are sending you warm hugs from the frozen midwest.

Cleopatra and her mom.

Puglet...my dog brother Olli has the c word. He's had chemo and radiation but we know it will come back quickly so he gets lots of hugs. The c word sucks more than I can say.

Puglet.. I'm so very sorry that your good friend Harry is sick. You were so lucky to have each other as friends.
I'm glad you got to say goodbye to Harry and tell him how much you'll miss him. We have lots of pug and non-pug friends on the other side of the bridge waiting welcome him with love and show him around. The best part of the Rainbow Bridge is that there is no cancer or other sickness, only greatness and love, kindness and happiness-Harry will be so full of all things wonderful there!

We send our love to Harry's family and friends because we know how hard it is to say goodbye to friends and family- especially our fur covered ones.

Awww, Puglet, that is so sad. :o( Totally freak out-able and lots of hug sharing-able. My human seems to always say that mean F word when she says the meaner C word, such an unkind sickness that takes too many otherwise perfect people and pets from us. We just had to say goodbye to a furry friend who was only 6 years old because of the stupid C.

Harry is very handsome and also very lucky to have you and his family to gather around him (with baconaters) as he prepares to leave our world. If there is a rainbow bridge, I know a lot of dogs who are there, waiting, and will welcome him with waggy tails.

Sorry for your sad Puglet. Harry will be in good company when he crosses the bridge. My brother Sam and I had to say goodbye to our big sister Maxi and our nephew Winston last week. It was hard but we know they're not hurting anymore. Stay strong. Your fan LittleDog.

The tabbies have been hugged and hugged and hugged. And leaked all over. No claws were involved at all.
It's hard to let friends go, Puglet. Especially friends with four legs & fur, and especially well before their time.
We've all been there.
Virtual hugs all over the place,
