FASTER THAN A SPEEDING COW

When I'm not busy blogging, posing for pictures or trying to save the world's homeless dogs, I like to relax by eating, sleeping or playing. And one of my #1 favorite kinds of playing is hiking with the cows that live over on the other side of the bay.

It's not so much the hiking that I like. I mean, hike is just a fancy word for walk and I walk all the time. What I really like about hiking is all the stuff you can do while you're doing it. Like eat cow pies. And play with cows.

At least I try to play with the cows. I usually end up doing most of the playing while they just stare at me and moo. Dog-moves like play bows and woo-woos don't seem to have any effect on cows and since I don't speak Moo, I have no idea why. But, whatever. As long as the cows keep making pies, they can stand around and moo all they want.

Wow Puglet, you are too fast for those cows. That looks fun and seems to be good exercise for you. That is a big playground you have with the mountains. All of our mountains have rocks.
You look cute in that contraption yesterday, like king of the couch. Who ever is at the highest point is king.

Hiya Hope!

Yeah, herding cows is good exercise. I've been working hard at staying less tubular and my human says if I move MORE, I won't have to eat LESS.

Well, duh. I'd much rather run around than give up food.

I've never been to Las Vegas, Nevada but we went to regular Nevada last year to a balloon festival. The mountains there had trees and were huge.

That looks like so much fun, Puglet! I'm on this side of the bridge- where do you go hiking?
Most places around here are on-leash only.
Love flatpuglet.com!

It's called Wildcat Canyon. It's over the bridge but not through the tunnel in a place called El Sobrante. My human says you can skip the tunnel though and it's maybe 10 minutes from the Briones reservoir. No leashes!

So cool you get to run around w/the cows, I can't believe you aren't afraid of those big animals!! Where's Dutch, is he afraid they might think he is a cow and keep him w/the herd?

Dutch is probably hiding behind my human. He's afraid of the cows. TERRIFIED.

He could be worried about some sort of cow-abduction. I never thought of that, but it's totally possible.

That looks like so much fun! You're like a herding pug. We are gonig to have to make a special trip over there, so we can herd cows too. We have cows close by but they must be a different kind because they just ignore our barks & don't even move when we tell them too. You're so lucky to have interactive cows close to you.

wow Puglet that looks like a ton of fun, but it looks like a lot of exercise. I bet you get lots of cookies after all that running. I think I'd be hiding with Dutch, or barking at them. It all looks like a lot of fun!

You are a brave one my fellow Puglet. You sure did a good job rounding 'em cows up! It's pretty cool your mom takes you & brother Dutch out to the hills so you can show them cows your stuff.

Puglet, I can't stop giggling. Sorry, this is the parent again... Isn't your mom afraid the cows are going to kick you? I'm always afraid they might hurt Gunther. But you've given me new confidence and Gunther a chance to run free with the cows. I'll keep you posted!

Yeah, at first she was worried about the kicking. She doesn't let me play with the cows who have babies. And I got in super-trouble when I tried to play with a bull. My human wasn't happy about that at all.

The bull didn't seem to mind though. He didn't even move - just stood there like a great big truck. If trucks had horns.
