I HAVE A QUESTION

So, I have a question for everyone. I guess I have a bunch of questions, but they are all about the same thing: love.

Have you ever been in love? If yes, how did you know it was love you were feeling? I mean, how did you know you weren't just hungry or something??

I thought I knew what love was. I thought I felt it for Jenny the Pug the moment I saw her. It didn't matter that we never sniffed butts, something inside me screamed she's the one!! But I'm starting to think things between me and Jenny aren't going to work out. She lives so far away and I haven't heard a peep (or a Tweet) from her for like an eternity. Dutch keeps saying she's just not that into me.

I think I love Jenny, but when I hear about Bellatrix & Spencer having dates, and see pictures of Stubby and Josie looking like the most perfect couple on earth, feel a little bit... lonely. I don't think that's what love is supposed to feel like.

Or is it?

Oh Puglet...I think you're suffering from a case of a broken heart. Jenny was so cute but maybe she was just too far away. Maybe you fell in love with the idea of Jenny, not Jenny herself since you've never met. Spencer and I are totally in love. I can see him from far away and my whole body starts to wiggle and jiggle (err...not to self less treats) and he gets all vocal and can't wait for me to play. When mom and I discuss new treats to try we always include Spencer.
I think you're just too far to have that connection with Jenny. You should totally get a new girlfriend (or boyfriend you are in SF)out here, one that you can spend time with. Think about how happy a hug from mom is, you need that in pug form. Oh Puglet...there are some sexy east bay pug...I know many would love to be the object of your affections.

Don't worry Puglet, she is probably just very busy w/her career & fans and she hasn't forgotten you. But, if you are lonely and want some puggy love, I'm sure there are lots of lovely puggy ladies in SF who would love to be your gal!

Keep your puggy chin up - Frodo

Yeah, you're right Frodo. Jenny might just be busy. But I'm busy too and I still think about her like ALL the time. Do you have a girlfriend?

Oh Bella-T ~

I don't want to be broken! The way you talk about Spencer is the way I feel about Jenny (minus a little jiggle). But maybe you're right. Maybe I fell in love with "Jenny-the-internet-sensation" and not Jenny.

I'm so confused.

Dutch has a boyfriend (Vegas the Labrador) but I'm pretty sure I like girls. Except for Frank. And Stubby. Uh.....

I know we talked about this yesterday but patience is important when it comes to love. Not only when you love someone but also when your looking for it. It's hard at first especially when there are so many attractive pugs in the world to catch your eye. You are right to ask if there is something more than just a funny feeling inside when you see that special pug. What Bella-T & Spencer have is special because they can experience it together. I think the distance between you & Jenny is tugging too hard on your heartstrings. It's very hard to sustain any type of relationship; friends, lovers, etc. from far away especially when you have never met.
Yoda & I were best friends & we knew the second we met. To be honest, you couldn't find two more opposite pugs-he loved playing rough;tug-of-war, fetch & I love chasing birds & spending time chewing up my favorite toy. But we always wanted to be together. Even if we spent the entire day doing opposite things we always found time to take a nap side by side.
Hang in there Pug. Love will find you when the time is right. Love is toughest for those who are new to it but you're doing great; you're already asking all of the right questions.

Luv, Zoey & Phoebe

Puglet! Don't worry about just one cute pug- why limit yourself? There are so many cuties out there! and totally peep some other breeds, too... love comes in many shapes and sizes.
I think Jenny just didn't know how to react to a hot shot like you loving her.
I think you're HOT!

Hey Puglet...many pugs love you...so why can't you love many pugs. Even Lola thinks you should spread some of that Puglet love. I think you should have a fan club! I would so wear a I Heart Puglet button...or a bumper sticker...oh a hat...I think I'm onto something here.
P.S. Spencer if you're reading this...I'm not cheating on you.

Puglet -
Your little face is breaking our hearts.
You are just too cute. Stop this sulking. You are a great catch little Puglet!!! Any Puggie(or doggie if you date outside your breed) would be lucky to call you their boyfriend!!! Like Bellatrix said, find a nice mate, being in SF... a boy puggie or girl puggie...seems like you gravitate towards the ladies howevers, Anyone Puglet would be lucky!!!
Now Puglet, Jenny is a package deal you know. She has those little Puglets. She is busy raising them. It's not easy being a single Puggie Mommy. She has to feed them and bath them and send them to school, and what about the babies Daddy??? Is he in the picture??? Is he paying child support??? I wouldn't throw in the towel yet little Puglet. She's got that big career too. She'll come around if it's meant to be. Patience my friend. Long distance relationships are difficult. Try to write her a letter!!! Then see where that goes....

Love ya little Puglet,
Josie & Izzy

P&Z --

Oh right, patience. But I'm a pug! Patience is not part of the breed standard! Even when it comes to love. Especially when it comes to Jenny!

But Lola & BellaT could be right. Maybe there is more than one love for me. Maybe I just haven't found her (or I guess him?) yet.

Josie -

You are as wise as your man Stubby. I forgot allllll about The Puglets! Of course Jenny doesn't have time for some stupid internet romance, she's busy being a single mom.

I feel so stupid :(

Puglet-

You are very loveable do not sell yourself short..Spread the love around as all of your friends are telling you to do. When the right love of your life shows up you will be ready, because you are one loveable PUGLET!!!!!!!!!!!
Love you and we too think your HOT!!!!

Stubby said...

Hi Puglet! I totally feel your pain because I never thought I'd fall in love. I mean I'm 12 years old and I've finally found my soul mate. I'm not suggesting it will take you that long to find your true love, but like everyone has told you, patience my friend.

I know you don't date out of state, but out of breed may be an option. Of course there's nothing like pug love but maybe by expanding your horizons you could find what you've been looking for.

Jenny is not the only pug in the proverbial sea. There are soooo many hot chicks that have blogs. And most of them don't have the baggage Jenny does.

In the end, I still love you man. Don't ever forget that.

Stubby xoxo

Dear Puglet,

Look no further than the other end of your leash... there you will find enduring true love. Other pugs may come and go, but your human will be there always. Besides, those opposable thumbs come in handy! And also, I (Ellie), my sister, Gertie and my brother (Bogart) send you snorfles of goodwill and good luck finding your next Miss Right Now :)

Hey, Puglet,
I endorse the other breed concept. Consider some frenchie love. Frenchies are smoosh-faces too, we like to wrestle, run and play sticks, just like some pugs. And best of all, there are a TON of frenchies in SF.
think about it.

I hear ya Puglet, love is a hard thing. I don't know how anyone could resist you though. You're a friggin supermodel for pug's sake. You can pose like a statue, you have a perfect curl, a super cute face...dude, i'd date you! Except, ya know... Bellatrix & I are in love and all... but anytime you are ever feeling lonely come hang out with us! We're always here for you buddy.

Jenny is a rising celebrity. She is very busy but don't let that stop you. Go search for true love and don't be surprised if she is a Chi-Chi like my Poncho-he is the love of my life, not a puggle and smaller than me. Don't despair it takes the smellin of a thousandbehinds to find real love. (Least thats what my momma says).

Gracie the Agility Pug said...

Gracie here: I know we don't live close, but if you ever go to an agility trial (like you said you might) we could pal around there. I'm not really into having a boyfriend - I'm not exactly a girly-girl. But I think you should have as many friends in this world as you can possibly get. So maybe we could hang out. And I could give you a girl's perspective. Personally, I think Jenny's just a little busy with the kids. There's no way she wouldn't be "into you" - you seem like such a sweet guy.

THE PUGLET said...

Aw, Gracie that is so nice of you. We'll be at agility in May (I still don't know the dates, but I'm having my first-maybe-last official practice next week). We'll sniff butts and teeter. It'll be moocho fun :)

Hey Pug - nope I don't have a girlfriend, although I think your cousin Sophie is pretty. I like how she plays 'shy' at our pug meets.
