FFF: tongue curls

Remember awhile ago how Frank outdid me with a one-pawed Jimmy and some crazy curled tongue maneuver? Well, I've been secretly working on the tongue curl and just about have it down.

Step 1: suck in your face.

Step 2: blow out all your air.

Step 3: stick out your tongue as far as it will go.

Step 4: suck your tongue back in really fast.

Step 5: Pause dramatically, giving your human time to get out a treat.

Step 6: Stick your tongue out a little and hope it comes out curled.

Ta da! You just made a tongue curl. Sit back and enjoy the cookies.

Oh, and you're probably wondering what's with the deer ears in that first picture. Yeah, me too. My human said I have to wear them from now on. Something about the 12 days of Christmas? I think it starts on Monday, so I guess we'll see.

Okay, my human just went all gooey and "awwwwwwww"-ed! Now, I don't complain a whole lot, but you (and Frank) have GOT to stop "raising the bar!" I mean, my tongue sticks out all the time. I get plenty of awwwws, but now I'm gonna be expected to CURL it?! You guys have the jimmy and all. The tongue thing is the only thing I've got! I'm just sayin' you're makin' it difficult to keep up!

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh Puglet that is HOWLARIOUS!!!!!
My tongue curls cutely naturally - I don't even have to try. The downside is I GET NO COOKIES for doing it.

Puglet,
Love the tongue curl. That Frankie is super cute, but I think you've got him beat, paws down.

My mum has been trying to teach me the Jimmy. I think I've almost got it, except for the eyes looking up. I'm sure getting lots of yummy treats while learning.
Please thank your human for giving all the pug humans such a challange. More treats makes for a happy pug.

Holy crap, I just did a spit-take from Step 3's photo.

Way to go, Puglet -- good work!

Head pats,

PS: Re: .1 -- did you have your *collar* off too? Along with the harness? Collars are .1's!

Holy Crap is right Puglet we agree Pic #3 is the best!
Our mom has this thing about parlor tricks, one of us sings, one jimmy's, the other refuses to do anything (that would be Emmitt he doesn't even bark)!

As for the antlers.. cute but if it's for the 12 days of Christmas shouldn't you have a partridge in a pear tree on your noggin??

I do step 2 all the time. Mom calls it "The O". I do it right before I'm going to bark myself inside out!

Holy Pug. All of that work for a tiny tongue curl. You deserve lots of treats! Seriously cute photos for today. I don't do anything fun like you Pug, but I do have a talent for walking on my back legs with no wobbling at all. Guess that is something.

My GAWD, Puglet!
If any of my pets, past & present--pugs, mixed-breed pooches & kitties--and heck, the few hamsters I had as a kid--did anything as cute as pic #6, with that teeny-tiny tongue tip poking out and the folded-back ears and incredibly innocent, beseeching puggie expression, they'd be spoiled beyond absolute BELIEF (and it's already pretty bad)!
Simply *no* way to say no to such an adorable pug mug...Thanks for a darling weekend kickoff!

Must admit, we love the pucker face in pic 1, the tongue is adorable and the best in pic 3, and the curled tongue in the last pic is priceless. Your face says it all...
