BREEEATHE + REEELAX

I don't know what's up with my human. She keeps getting our days mixed up. Do you know how hard it is to be freaking DAILY when your thumbs don't even know what day it is??

ARRGH.

The only thing worse than losing days (besides the taste of the new nasty apple food) is what happened last night.

Ok. Uhm. So. Sometimes my human doesn't really sleep. And lately she's been not really sleeping a lot. When this happens, she listens to some dude talk when we go to bed. The dude has a funny accent and says stuff like breeeeathe and reeeeeelax. He also counts to five and talks about the english countryside and flowers.

No idea.

Anyway. Google says the dude is supposed to help my human sleep and I guess it works because every time he talks she is O-U-T out in like a minute. Unless I'm snoring. Then things get kinda ugly.

HUMAN: Pugggggg!
ME: snizzzzzzzzooor
HUMAN: Puuuuuug! Stop snoring!
ME: snizzzzzzzzoooooooooorrrrr

My human says it's impossible to breeeeathe and reeeeeelax if I'm snoring like a lumberjack. She tried wearing headphones to block me out but I guess they strangled her to death or something when she was asleep. So now she just yells at me to stop.

Well, last night I started to snore when the dude was counting or whatever. And when yelling at me didn't work, my human totally freaked. Next thing you know, I'm on the couch. Yeah. The couch. I didn't just get kicked out of bed -- I got kicked out of the entire freaking room.

My human filled the couch with blankets and stuff and made Dutch go with me, even though he has a snout and doesn't snore. And I guess I didn't exactly lose any sleep or anything. But still. So not cool. I mean, has anyone here ever had to sleep alone? On a couch?

I deserve some serious sympathy bacon for this one.

Adorable pictures of you two.
I don't kick my pugs out. NEVER.
But my husband wants me and pugs to get out of the bed and room sometimes....guess we all 3 snore (?) hee hee. If he doesn't like it that much, he can go to the couch. He is a big boy, right??

Dude,

Been there done that. We even got kicked out and demoted to the first floor! Oh the pug-manity! Now, we get to snuggle and nap with our humans until they want to sleep, then it's sofa city. We do get weekend privileges!

I get busted to my crate when my snoring or scratching or licking keeps my Mommy awake. She is UNFORGIVING there - even tho' she also snores (snicker snicker).

no sympathy here pug! my two girls have to sleep in their own room on the other side of the house! we need our beauty sleep so we can spoil our pugs!

Pug, My mom and Dad have a white noise machine that helps all of us go to sleep. It also masks the sound of my snoring. There is NO WAY I'm sleeping on the couch unless it's on a lap.

I'm so sorry, Puglet, but the picture of you and Duke on the couch is priceless!

Scarlet's Dad snores. She snores. I sleep through both.

We think you an Dutch look pretty darn cozy on the couch though, Pug. I like that your human is doing meditation before bed, that's a very great thing to help you sleep.

If my pack ever did that to me, I'd say Adios Muchachos and go find a new pack! I am the pack leader after all, they are just the humans. That being said, it looks like you and Dutchy adjusted just fine!
have a great adventure filled weekend :)

Well, now I don't feel quite so bad, I guess Lucy and I are not alone. We get to be in our humans bed until they get sleepy, then Dad takes us to our crates for the night. He says Lucy's snoring keeps him awake. My Mom laughs because his snoring is way louder than Lucy's. I'm not a big snorer but apparently I kick in my sleep so I can't stay either. Sucks.

Me and Chelu have never ever slept on the bed. Mom sleeps on the couch (she calls it socializing us in the evening, but she naps). But we have our own beds in our own houses. Sometimes a dopey cat goes in our house and Chelu has to toss them out. Wonder what a bed feels like? Dad has allergies, so I guess I'll never know.

Our whole pack snores. Humans and pugs. Not sure who's the loudest. :)

My mum is a very light sleeper. The littlest thing will wake her up. That's good if I want to pee in the middle of the night, bad if I start to snore.
I recently had surgery on my throat (my palate), and that stopped almost all of my snoring.

LOLs, Lucy totally snores, and it doesn't go over well. I've found that it has everything to do with the position of her head, so first I take away the pillow her head is usually on, and then I try to line up her snout with her neck. It usually works, for a little while at least.

I got kicked out of Mom and Dad's bed for snoring too. I have to sleep with the kids now; they don't seem to mind.

I can't sleep WITHOUT my snoring pug! I have to go get him if he's in the other room with my son. If we lived closer you could totally sleep at my house!

We sleep in our own beds in Guardian's room. Like your human, she uses extra things to fall asleep, like music and birds singing. She's never complained about our snoring, but with the big machine that cleans the air in the bedroom that makes what she calls "white noise," who could hear anything else much? Never knew noises could have color, but there it is. Maybe your human could use noise with colors to blot out your snoring?

Hi Pug
First of all Hi. I found your blog 3 days ago and I love it. Ive started reading it from day 1, but decided just to let you know I following you. My name is Meeko. Im a 2 years old and live in Miami with my sister Kiara and her husband Woody. You may see me post in some of your older entries.

As far as sleeping alone...what is that? I've never experienced that. I either sleep with my pug family or nested in bed with my humans. I have heard my humans complain about snoring. Can you imagine the symphony with 3 sleeping pugs? Thats why my girl human sleeps with these waxy things in her ears ( which by the way taste really good and look really funny in my poop).

Aww... Poor Pug. I totally loved my Angel Marie's snoring. That's one of the things I miss the most, since we lost her in June of last year. You and Dutch look very snuggly on the couch, though. Hugs from NJ!
