FUN IS FUN

It stopped raining for about 10 minutes yesterday. We ran straight to the park but no other dogs were around so I had to play fetch all by myself (that thing in my mouth is a ball).

Brother Dutch and my human whined about the mud, but wet dirt doesn't bother me. It's better than rain and I was happy to be out of the house.
Being stuck inside day after day after rainy, windy day is no fun at all. I seriously wonder if it's ever going to stop raining.

Luckily my human brought home some new toys to ease the pain (and keep us busy so we don't drive her nuts). My new laser-pointy thingy is
crazy-fun. Dutch doesn't want anything to do with it and that makes it even funner.

Check me out:

We also got a pair of these really loud stuffed things. They make the coolest CRUNKLE-
CRUNKLE noise when you bite them. My human said it's because they have a waterbottle in their belly. That sounds kinda weird to me, but whatever. Fun is fun.

(Sorry about the bad video; my human is better with pictures)

Oh yeah - for the record, I won. I always do.

Hi Puglet, that laser pointer thing looks like fun! Although we don't have a taller dog to run under like you do (our mom said that was one of the things that made the video fun :))

I hope the rain stops soon!

Hi Puglet! Mom is convinced the laser pointer caused me to have brain damage. I not only chase them but also any shadows that move that look like laser pointers.

My good pal Salinger gave me one of those bottle stuffies. It really is cool and I love to bite into it and make a lot of noise.

I think your human did a great job with the videos. It's not easy to film such fast action.

Stubby xoxo

Pee-s: I hope the rain stops soon because my dad is suppose to fly out of there today. I need him back home because I'm starving!

Puglet... love your videos! I chase the laser pointer just like you do and it really wears me out. Funny that Dutch doesn't like it. The crinkle toy looks cool... always like the noise makers! Too bad I don't have a Dutch to play tug-of-war with... the cats would never play... however, I do have to share the laser pointer with them! Play on!

Fun videos, Puglet! My Cardis go INSANE over the laser pointer to the dangerous level. Herders and lasers don't always mix so well!
The crinkle bottle holder is always a favorite around here although the bottles don't last long.

We've got rain here too (Northern Virginia) and it's mixed with ice/sleet!

I love the look on Dutch's face when you're running under him. I have big dogs to run under also. Oh...I always with the tug of war also :-)

Puglet,
I can't get the videos. I'm wondering if there isn't something missing from my computer. I couldn't get the video of Jenny either. I went to youtube and found it. Any ideas?

Pugsmom - Hmmm...I asked google about your video problem. Maybe you don't have recent version of Flash installed? Do you get any kind of error or does it just do nothing?

Yah - the red dot thing makes me CRAZY. I don't know what Dutch's malfunction is. It's like he doesn't even see the evil dot. I mean, if you see the dot, you chase and kill the dot - right?

My bud Mr Puggle sent me a video of himself playing Kill The Dot. This is what happened when I watched it (hang in there to the end!):

Stupid dot got me in trouble!

Thanks Puglet for the heads up on the crinkle toy. I go and get "fixed" in about a week (why am I broken?) and mom says she'll make daddy buy me one as a get well gift.

Hey Puglet, it's Arnie, the agility pug. I go nuts for the pointer, too. But Gracie doesn't see it at all. Here's me in action:

Ha, Puglet! You guys are doing the same thing we've been doing. Playing and bugging each other because we're stuck in the house. That laser toy looks like a lot of fun. How nice of Dutch to stand there for ya to make an obstacle course.

Oh, btw. Mom told me to tell you that when all the clouds, wind and rain were gone late this afternoon and we saw some sunshine... she freed our Monarch butterfly. He camped out in the Trader Joe's paper bag for 2 whole days! He flew away off into the sunset. It was beautiful..until Gunther tried to chase him. What a dumb dumb.

Snorts,
Stella

OMG, your pug is beautiful! Ours is named Romeo and we're in SF as well. They are so entertaining! Thanks for sharing your stories. :-)

Oh Stella - that's so cool your monarch lived. My human really wants the rain to stop so we can go see the butterflies in some place called Pismo.

I told her we have to go on a Tuesday so we can go to the place that lets pugs eat pizza. Will keep you posted...

Hey Romeo's people! Welcome to the cult of pug :) You should come to the next PugSunday @Alta Park.

Bellatrix -

Don't worry, you're not broken. Most of us get fixed. Has something to do with taking away some, uh, spare parts.

Warning: do NOT try to fake your way out of part-removal. I tried and it did not work out as planned:
