EVICTING MUCUS

I missed you at the end of last week, but you didn't miss a thing around here. Because even though my human tried really hard not to get sick, it totally didn't work. And you know the Mucinex stuff that's supposed to evict mucus? Didn't work either.

So my human went to the people-vet. She has that bronchitisaurus thing (again). And I guess since her body sucks at evicting mucus, they gave her some pills that are supposed to kick the brocho-whatevers butt. She still honks like a goose and sounds like a frog, but my human says she needs her thumbs back so I guess the pills are doing something.

I seriously think I need a new human.

PS: the Giant Black Thing is still sitting in the hallway. Still hasn't moved or made a peep. Still very creepy. I asked Google if it might be a treadmill but it sounds like treadmills don't just sit there and get dusty. Will keep you posted.

Oh man Pug...your human needs some TLC from you and Dutch! And, treadmills do just sit there and do nothing...they do that at a lot of houses...uh, one does it at my house all the time! Hope Amanda gets better soon!

Juju is coming your human's way from the Eat Coast! Pug, you need to learn how to make chicken noodle soup...or get thumb implants!!

The best thing for evicting mucus...is rest!
I know.. BO-RING, but it's true! So, it's time to cuddle up and enjoy some snuggle time with sicky.

Lafayette Lola

ps- That's the job of at-home treadmills- dust collectors!

You don't need a new human. She needs you more than you will ever know. Just be glad "bronco" isn't contagious to pugs!

Puglet,
Sitting getting dusty is exactly what most treadmills do when they live in people's homes. A lot of them also hold clothing. Only a few lucky one's with dedicated owners get to move.

Hi Puglet! Hope your human feels better soon. It a bummer being sick like that. Can't wait to finally find out what the "MONOLITH" is! Hopefully there's some component of it that is edible.

-Love,
Sid.

I agree with the other comment, If clothes start hanging off the big thing then it's definitely a treadmill!! Beware new closet!

Chicken soup, hot water with cider vinegar/honey, Vicks Vaporub, and wearing an old soft flannel nightgown help my Momma rest when she needs to feel better!

We have a treadmill that sits around gathering dust! I thought that was what they were supposed to do.

Hope you evict that mucus soon... I'll be sending you some good juju!

Oh Pug, your momma has the worst luck! I hope she feels better super soon. Make sure to give her extra cuddles!

A hot Irish Whiskey is the best cure ever. Seriously. Lemon for Vitamin c, honey for a scratchy throat, cloves to boost the immune system, and sure isn't alcohol an antiseptic to help kill those nasty germs?

My treadmill is totally dusty and just sits there. Im sorry your human is sick, but im happy you posted. I was worried about you with all the rain and wind i heard about on the weather channel. Happy everything is AOK for the most part.

Do you think that treadmill is for you puglet after all your traveling...just saying....

Well Pug, having you or any Pug (don't take that personally) around when you're sick is a major healing factor. Pugs comfort more than flannel blankets, anything.
Tell your human 'get better" - hugs and thoughts of chicken soup being transferred.

Puglet,
My mom gets the bronco thing too. Instead of snuggling me, she snuggles a bowl of hot water with green stuff in it! (she says the green stuff is mint and thyme) I don't know why green stuff is better than pug snuggles, but it seems to make her less grumpy pretty quickly.

P-let, tell your person that there's this stuff called Yin Chao, and another called Ganmaoling, both easy peasy to find since you are in SF (My people are from B-town across the water). They are both really helpful for cold and flu symptoms. They are Chinese herbs. I must say I am not a doc but my hupersons have taken them lots and it really helps. Won't take away bronchitic germ but if she gets a cold... My sister Sof has doggy bronchitis, or at least the xray vet said so. Sometimes ya gotta use the western meds tho.

Spencer Woo said...

Shouldn't be saying this either but when mucinex was made otc they half the dose you would get with an rx. they do that with most drugs that finally come otc.

I guess she is dead. Because I do not see a caring person, no matter how busy, leaving us hanging, when it only takes a few freakin' seconds to post I'm okay, and will be back soon.

I don't feel that that last comment was necessary or appropriate. I don't care if people who enjoy this blog are worried or not. You do NOT say something like THIS to someone else. This is a poor reflection of the world we live in.

Pearl and Tessa said...

Can't believe someone would post the anonymous posting earlier today, especially in light of the horrible tragedy yesterday. We are hoping that there is some minor tech glitch and that is why we have not heard from Puglet. Hope everyone is ok.

To: Anonymous from Dec. 15 (and you know who you are) - please leave this blog immediately and do not return.

We need lots of prayers and magic ju-ju to be sent to resolve whatever is going on a Casa de Puglet now.

We do not need or want anyone with low level sarcasm here.

We are so worried that Thumbs must be really sick. Isn't there anyone out there who knows what is going on????

Happy Whelp Day to Chang from Chicago !!!

If she is truly sick, then I am truly sorry. But more often than not, she has made us worry in the past, and it was because she was busy, not because she was sick. Yes my comment was a little harsh, and I apologize. I am just blown away, that all of are sitting here worrying, she has to know we are, because we have in the passed, and it just doesn't seem to matter to her. It is very sad. Having my own blog, I know it really does only take a minute to post a line.

@ Anonymous-
It is none of our business WHY Amanda hasn't checked in! Who do you think you are? It is insane to believe that she owes US an explanation about where she's been or what she's been doing. This blog is supposed to be FUN for everyone... including AMANDA, and people like you are taking that away from her (and me, too).
This has always been a place of joy, and smiles, and virtual hugs. I don't know what has happened here, but it's a shame.
