THE ENDS

So I guess it's the end of half-naked Santa week. I don't know about you, but I'm kinda going to miss Santa and his skivvies. Not like I like looking at half-naked dudes or anything, but anything that makes humans laugh so hard they spew drinkables is a good thing. Right?

Right.

Anyway. Today is full of all sorts of ends. It's the winter solstice thingy -- the beginning of the end of short dark days. It's also the end of the world. At least if you're one of those Mayan people. No idea, but that's what the NPR radioman said. It's also the end of my human staring at HAL4 like 24/7.

Short dark days make my human SAD, so I'm happy about the beginning of that end. I'm not a Mayan, so I'm pretty sure my world isn't ending and that's cool. The best end of all? My human is finally FINALLY ready to start sending pictures out to the Other 999. The official stuff will go out this weekend, but I'm so freaking excited about it - you have no idea.

NO IDEA.

No more hikeless, blogless days. No more sleepless, grumpy stressed out human or crazy ranting about how fawn pugs soak up bad color like cute little sponges and how blue sky and green grass are just so (HBO-word) evil. Yeah. That's right. She said pugs are sponges and grass is evil. Told you. Crazy.

Cute little sponge (aka Otis, #527) before + after stuff that makes my human crazy

So, Dutch will finally get to have a birthday. I'll finally get to celebrate Thanksgiving and wear the new dorky Halloween outfit Sophie's mom gave me. We'll start going to the dog park and Pug Sunday again and I'll get to see my friends. My human will start taking pictures of Pug #1 again. WITH NIKON.

I'm very excited about all these things. My human is excited about opening mail, vacuuming out Mazda and unpacking her suitcase, but she's a weirdo. We're both superexcited that the Atlanta Pugs and (everyone else) will finally get to be happy. All we ever want is for people to be happy.

PS: As soon as my human stops leaking, I'll tell you all about this:

I mean the awesomeness inside the box. The rest is just Frank.

Hi Amanda & Puglet,

Glad to know you are feeling better and finishing up some of the 999 pug photos. But Gus and I are worried. We know our Guardian donated the biggest prize on your internet Kickstarter thing-y. She hasn't told us when we're getting to meet you (and maybe Puglet?) and get our pug mugs snapped. She reads us The Daily Puglet, so we know you've had some stressed out times. But we feel really, really ignored. And you know pugs, they HATE to be ignored! Can you please tell us when we can collect our prize photos??? And Guardian truly needs that pug photo lesson. Our blog readers will thank you for that!

Snort, snort,
Jazz and Gus.

Puglet, I also know what is inside that box. That it made your human leak (in a good way) is what it's all about. I'm so happy it was able to get to your house before Christmas.

Hi Dutch & Puglet!
Wesa cannot wait to order our copy of your hu-mom's book...we might not be in it, but we know that she is an awesome photographer and who doesn't want a coffee table book of awesome pugs? Seriously...people are not friendly if they don't love pugs.
Anywho...wesa sorta heard about whats in the package but only those 999 were allowed to help. Alas, we cannot wait to see your mama's special goodie. Did you get our Christmas card? Wesa hope so.

Dude.....Our human is leaking, like really leaking just thinking about your human being done.....done so she can have time to play with you, not done so we get our pics......The pics can wait. We are just happy that maybe now you can spend time with your human without her being stressed out.....without people being mean to her, without her trying to make SOME people happy (I know that she has had a lot of people who are being patient and I just want to say THANK YOU to all of you!!!!!!)

Give her a bunch of licks from us and let her know that we LOVE HER (and you) and we hope she remembers that there are ALOT of us that feel the same way.

Pretty interesting stuff about fawn pugs and color. I wonder if it can be used as an advantage though...

Maybe my human will bring me to a pug Sunday so I can meet you! I dunno, but we're all very glad the 999 pictures are done so you can have thumbs more often and we don't have to worry about you and her traveling and being sick and stressed out. We knew she could/would do what she said she would.

Take care and have a happy holiday!

Dear Amanda, Puglet and Dutch:
Just want to wish you a blessed, peaceful holiday and also to THANK YOU for all your incredible work, sweat, travel, living out of suitcases, eating (lets face it) not the best foods, sleepless nights, long days, dedication, selflessness, and most of all for the LOVE you have shown the 999, their humans, all the still looking for a home brothers and sisters in fur and the humans who work so hard to find a lasting home for those without one. Seriously, God blesses you Amanda, for what you have done!
With much love,
Patty, Gus and Spike Robinson

Dude, you are one lucky Santa observer...most of the rest of the population doesn't get a Santa with buns of steel! I like that you're gonna get to celebrate like a thousand holidays all at once - do any of them come with some bacon for the #1 pug? Happy birthday again to Dutch and you all have a very merry HalloThanksMas!

Dude, there's no thing wrong with eye-balling half naked Santas no matter who or what you are! Those are excellent pics, that last is, well, too too! Me, my mutt sibs and my humom love them all and are jealous you live in SF, tho we prefer being country dogs really. Lick your humom for us and we are glad, like y'all that the longer days are a-comin'. It's snowing here today... but it's not deep enough for the Winter Pug Toss. :) Y'all can come up and visit any time! No beach but endless trails, lakes, rivers, cow pies.... Jimmy-on, dudes!

And Happy Hollydays!
ps, am I the only pug that has trouble with that dam prove you're not a robot thingy??

Puglet, so excited your human is almost done and you can go back to being the main pug in her life. Although Frank is cool too. If she doesn't get it together soon, you can live with us in NYC.

My mom gets SAD too, but she has these magic drops that make her less SAD. (http://www.bluebonnetnutrition.com/product/326/Liquid_D3_Drops_1000_IU) They are vegetarian and she says they taste like sunshine.
