MAYBE GOOD, MAYBE NOT
So, I went to the vet. We had a staring contest and he poked at my face, but only with his fingers. Then he and my human talked for awhile.
VET: blah blah blah something about a hair follicle blah blah something about pugs and lumps
HUMAN: blah blah blah something about pugs and lumps
VET: blah blah blah TUMOR blah blah CANCER blah blah
HUMAN: (silent)
VET: blah blah TUMOR blah blah blah NEEDLE blah blah CANCER
HUMAN: (silent)
There was some other stuff too, but once I heard the C-word I kinda only listened to the parts about that.
When the vet was done talking, my human had to pick between letting the him stab me in the face with a needle to look for cancer -or- treating my lump like it's an angry hair follicle for a week, and then stabbing me in the face if it doesn't get better.
I guess because of all the stuff I didn't really listen to, they decided to go with the follicle. So for the next week I have to take drugs and let my human practically suffocate me with a hot wet towel three times a day. Both of these things are waaaay better than getting stabbed in the face *and* I'm getting loads of sympathy cookies.
Cancer = bad bad bad! Hair follicle = cookies!

Awww Puglet...I hope the hair follicle treatment works! I had a similar problem when I was younger and the medication worked.
Oh man! We sure hope all the face smashing with wet towels and all that other stuff works! Hang in there Pug...thank goodness you can keep your spirits up with those cookies!
Try not to worry Puglet! This happens to one of my puggies all the time. It's the hair follicle thing and it usually goes away no problem. Take care of that sweet little face!
JUU JUU....HAIR FOLLICLE...HAIR FOLLICLE.....HAIR FOLLICLE.....
Hey Puglet! Do you drink or eat from a plastic dish? I've seen several discussions about this being a bad thing for pugs. Something about the plastic being an irritant to your sensitive face. Just a thought. I hope you survive being smothered and that you're healed up good as new in a week. Nobody likes being poked in the face. xxxooo LittleDog & Sam's Mom
Lots of Good Ju Ju thoughts to you Puglet. Good luck with the cookies.
Here's hoping for the follicle option, Puglet.
I had a lip thing that turned out to be the C-word removed a couple of months ago and am fine now. Dude--I got *so* many treats of all types because my monkeys were so freaked out and worried.

Puglet, we sincerely hope that it's a hair follicle thing. Isabelle has cancer, and it has not been pleasant for her.
Praying the wet towel treatments help!
Puglet, it's TOTALLY a big fat hair follicle. Nothing to worry about.
Puglet,
I had a pus face just like yours once and my mom and the vet man decided my mom should put some cream on it that came in a tube. It went right away. It must have been a follicle thing. I bet that's what yours is. Care to share those cookies? Love you Pug.

Awww Puglet- big time juju & love from Toronto. Lola had a big yucky bump on her eyelid, it had to be removed surgically (the cone of shame, noooooo!) but turned out to be JUST a benign but inflamed cyst. :-) Be good to your Human and enjoy those cookies! Love, Megan F & Lola Pug
Prayers for you and Mom, Puglet. Hope the treatments work.

Man, and I thought it was just a zit! I hope the follicle stuff works, cuz a needle in the face is no fun - trust me, it happened to me.
Just think of the smushing as a spa treatment. You'll have lovely skin when this is over!
St. Francis is on Call to help you Puglet.

We sure hope it's the follicle thing!

Pug pimples, we get them all the time. But they hurt so we like when mom puts warm wet towels on them. Then we get *cookies*.

Hey Puglet,
My pugs and my boxers both get these little bumps. They look terrible, but so far they've gone away. Don't worry...you'll be fine.

Puglet, we don't have these problems (Hope) but sometimes our Human does :). Sending lots of JuJu, hoping its just a giant follicle thingy.
Oh, my Gosh, Pug! It looks like the follicle thingy I had years ago. It went away on it's own. (Now I just have skin tags) :( But at 15, I don't care! Lol! Sending lots of juju & prayers for extra bacon!

Puglet! Juu juu going up your way!

Hi Pug... my Angel used to get them too, little pimply bumps. Our vet gave us some cream to put on them and they went away. Hope that's all yours are too. She's passed on now, (would have been 15 this year) I'm sure she is sending you good juju from the bridge. Take care.
xoxo Patty
Poor Puglet! The things you must endure! I already had read ahead your newer post, so I'm so glad it was just a hair follicle. Woo hoo!
-Love,
Sid.
I'm sad. I never ever enjoyed a dog's blog as much as this one. The photos, the words, the humor, the joy of it all! I really miss you Puglet, and the wonderfulness of your blog.
I send you many blessings, and know that life goes on, and hope you, Dutch and Amanda are as great and fun as ever! Thanks for being you!
Dear Puglet Dutch & Amanda -
PLEASE come back -- you have been such a voice of joy for so many people :_) I miss you!
