SIGH

My human's been on the freaking pugmill for 11 hours 26 minutes straight (12.66 miles).

Freak!

In case she goes to bed and takes the thumbs with her, here's a picture that just made her laugh. It's not of me, but I guess it's still pretty funny.

Maybe she'll take my picture again someday.

SIGH.

Such a silly pic - it made our mom laugh too :)

BTW - Puglet, we are in awe of your human. The photos of Ellie (#439) are beautiful and she captured Ellie's personality perfectly! Which is amazing because mom said she was barking for about 14 of the 15 minutes of her shoot!!

Thank you for sharing your human with us!! We love you Miss Amanda, Pug & Dutch!!

I've been looking through the galleries all morning. Your human's talent is so freaking amazing!
The pictures make mum leak and laugh at the same time.
Me and my Canadian friends haven't been uploaded to the Minneapolis site yet (me, Sabrina # 9, Hannah #135 and Harley #136) but I know it's just a matter to time and patience.
Puglet, I hope your human can get off her treadmill soon and start taking picture of you again. I miss your mug.

Dear Puglet,
My Mom laughed when she saw this pic too. Mom said she has been laughing and saying "aweeee" so much in her office that now her staff and boss come to her office about every half hour and ask if new pics are in the galleries. This has been going on since the pics started arriving in the galleries. Mom's whole office has gone "Pug crazy" over thumbs' incredible photography. She says lots of books will be sold in Illinois! I hope thumbs is giving you a percentage of the sales. You are, after all Numero Uno!! Maybe you'll get enough money to buy your own BACON company! :)

Kisses, Kisses,
Mercy

P.S. Tell Dutch I miss him and I'm pretty sure pug farts are stinkier than Dutch farts.

I can't access the gallery anymore. A couple days ago when I tried I just clicked on the city name and it asked for a password. Now when I try it just takes me to the letter that was sent in email to announce the gallery was opening. Anyone else having issues? I am a Portland Pug Parent, and today was suppose to be the day we could see our pictures.

Janelle,

Go to pugtour.com and select one of the cities that is already posted. From that cities homepage select the "Your Images" then "Viewing/Downloading" tab. on that page there is a link to the viewing gallery. Once there you can go to the "Show Me The Pugs" tab and selct your city again. I didn't see anything up for your city yet but I'm sure they will come up......hope this helps.

Though my humans and Mochi are laughing, I don't see what's so funny about Reuben. He looks like a handsome dude to me! ;)
Anyhoo, we're so excited to see all the amazing photos!! It's so cool to see some of our DP friends from across the country!!

Am I the only one who sees some white stuff on Reuben's sweet face? (What an expression, he's a CUTIE!) For those who can't see some of the galleries today, check back later this evening or tomorrow. The same thing happened to me for a while with the Dallas gallery but it came back with more pictures on it.

Got email from you guys, although we want to see our pictures so bad... we can wait. No big deal. Good things happen to those who wait "nicely" : )
We thought about replying back to the email just to say "thank you and don't worry, we can wait"... but we decided not to. Your human must be swimming in those emails already. With that many miles walking, Kim should be at least half gone by now.

Seriously people, we are still at this? As awesome as these photos are, they are still pictures. It was $50 for the sit, plus whatever merchandise you want. It raised $10,000 for pug rescues. Your pug will be in a book! But they are pictures.
In the grand scheme of things, a picture is small potatoes. Compare it to people losing their jobs, like may happen to 90,000 people here in Virginia courtesy of our elected leaders. Homes will be foreclosed on. People will have to decide between feeding their families and buying medication. And we are complaining that pictures are late?
Seriously, I understand the frustration. You've been waiting a very long time. And some of you may be able to take better photos of your pugs. I certainly can't. But you wanted to be a part of something big. Big was messy and disorganized and late because it took far more time than anyone thought it would. But it is still BIG. It's a big deal that your pug will be part of this project. Try to remember why you wanted to be part of this in the first place.
I get it that you are mad. Do you have the right to be disappointed? Or angry or frustrated? Sure you do. Do you have to act on it by snarking on a blog that brings people a little joy and an escape from all the crap that the world is throwing at them? Honestly, I'm thrilled that Amanda can take a break for 5 minutes to post on her blog. That means she's still alive and not in the hospital because of this project. And hopefully, it brings her a little joy and relief to not be constantly resizing photos pixel by freaking pixel so that we impatient people can see quality photos of our beloved pugs.
Please try to put this entire experience in perspective. If you have the time and energy to be angry about this, try channeling that into something good. Play with your pug. Take a shelter dog for a walk. Volunteer at a homeless shelter or a food bank. Realize that as wonderful as these pictures are, getting them really late is not the end of the world. You have a pug so you've already shown the world that you are a better person. Many of us have rescue pugs even, showing that we can open our hearts and homes to pugs in need. Let's all the people that our dogs think we are.

I was one of the angry Anonymous posters before. I disagree with Weizer2. It is clear that at this point Amanda is working very hard on our pictures and hardly has time for blogging. I also think the pictures that have come out so far are adorable and well worth the sitting fee. As for the cost of the prints, they seem in line with what I have seen from other professional photographers. If we will ever get prints that we order is another issue... I wish we could buy the copyright to our images and get them printed wherever we want.

I am so sick of listening to the whining on this site. I know that the pictures are late, but, Amanda has done an amazing job on these pictures, and I personally think they are gorgeous. If anyone on here felt that they could have done a better job, then, I am not sure why they even signed up to do this. If $50. is really going to break you, next time, think before you spend the money. Honestly, use your time for something a little more important. Go volunteer with a pug rescue or animal shelter. Something that is not so self-involved. The pictures are late, but they are coming. I personally agree that I wish the people who are so nasty on here would just have their pug pulled from the book. I don't think that is the spirit of the photos or the book. Also, your comments just make you look mean and hateful. I'm sure that they people on here complaining are perfect and above reproach, so I truly commend you on that.

A couple of years ago I spent in the 700.00 rage for photos from a local pet photographer. I expected to drop that amount with Amanda. Today I don't have faith that I would get my any photos that I would order. Trust me I'm sad about that.

Two weeks ago (?) she emailed us with the dates of our photo roll outs , and already she can't live up to her promises. Those were dates she chose.....so much doesn't make sense.

Brutus, Ellie, Pippa and Otto said...

@weizer2 - you say you can read but yet it seems as if you have failed to read the project recap on the 1000 pugs site that explains so much and then some... Amanda is doing her best to get the best photos of our beloved pugs to us!

While you go back and actually read the recap, why don't you read the contract you had to sign - there is nowhere in the contract that gives a time frame period.

You have waited 8 months already and you can see that photos are going up but yet you come on hear spewing hate filled comments - I can tell you one thing, you aren't going to find much sympathy here. I feel sad for you that you don't have anything better to do with your life than criticize and accuse someone of being drunk - which in my opinion is tastless. If you or someone you know can take better pictures, why in the world did you sign on to be a part of this project?

There are so many bad things going on in the world and seeing these galleries fill up with beautiful pug pictures has been wonderful to see. Why don't you just take a step back, take a deep breath and think about where this rates in the big scheme of things.

While we're on the how dare you's- how dare you come to a clearly happy space on the web and keep spewing your bull crap. If you would like- post what ause you would like your $50 donate to. I would be happy to donate for you (cause you've lost your sh*t if you think anyone is going to send you$) and then send/post a confirmation. But in all reality? What kid of crappy person are you???

I'm reading this garbage spew that is flooding the blog, and the gentle responses in return. But mostly, I am listening to the most amazing, 13-yr old pug snoring gently beside me. He isn't at all worried about the delay. He had a great time with the experience, and he feels reassured that he will make his debut when the time is right. I love that this boy is so smart, and gentle, and kind, and understanding, and nonjudgmental. His brother, who also participated, has since gone to play in Pug Heaven. I am so blessed to have had him in my life, and I savor every minute with Eddie. THIS is important. Delays, complications, best efforts not meeting judgment? Not so much.
Pugs rule. That is why we are all here to begin with, remember? I am going back to my pug, now.

Peace.

Uh...Puglet, I came today to give news...tomorrow we are going to pick up another pug. They tell me she will be my sister. I am sort of sad. I thought I would be the only pug in the house AND the world to my humans, but looks like they want another one of me! I hope she doesn't steal all my toys or sleep in the place I always sleep, and oh man, I hope they don't give her my share of bacon! What am I to do? I hope she is as cute as me! I know one thing, she isn't 1 of 1000 like me so that makes me special already, right? I am #148 and proud to be part of this wonderful project. Just wish everyone else would stay calm and cool and know it will all be ok eventually and remember, it's just photos!!! Cute ones...but still JUST PHOTOS! Next time I'm back it will be Maggie & Lucy the Pugs from Dallas. Yep, they are going to call her Lucy...my name is still better! Right?

I am personally horrified by all the negative comments going on here. Apparently some people have all the time in the world to complain and just be downright mean. This is another human being that you are crapping all over. Did she make mistakes? Yes. Big deal. You should never treat someone like this. None of us have walked in her shoes and truly know how big this project was/is. If you are so concerned about your $60 I'll send it to you. But the constant nastiness is just plain out of line. Angie said...

Weizer2, you are such an ass. Take your own pictures next time if this is such an inconvenience. You took part in FIFTEEN MINUTES OF IT, not the ENTIRE thing like Amanda. This was a huge project. If you want a good outcome, stop being such a dick and be patient. Allow the time that is NEEDED for proper editing. Don't sit here and bitch and moan about wanting your pictures LAST YEAR, make someone feel terrible and try to get the photos out to everyone involved, then complain about something as stupid as a cigarette butt on the ground. Are you serious right now?

If you think this was such a terrible job, go do your own project. Get as many people involved.. Take on something that is this much bigger than you. I would love to see how well you would do with this sort of pressure, demand and limited time frame. THEN to have 1,000 people (give or take) waiting on you. Some of them as rude as they come, doing nothing but bashing and bitching.

You can write out everything on an exact timeline, but I guarantee you it will NOT go that way. Flying around constantly to places you have never been, trying to find a good place to take photos.

Voodoo is VERY popular in Portland. I know, I live pretty close. How is Amanda supposed to KNOW that downtown Portland is a shitty place if she hasn't been there? Sorry, but pretty much anywhere you go in Portland you're going to run into "bums" and cigarettes.

Shut up and go away. I hope someday you have someone as terrible as yourself bashing you and trying to drag you down over something you put your entire being into. This is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. It's people like you and the "anonymous" JERKS that are turning a lovely thing into a festering pit of negativity and drama. GET A LIFE, get some compassion and open your eyes. You're a very rude person and you, and all the other rude people, should feel ashamed.
