First the world was maybe coming to an end. Then some dumb postal jerk hijacked my package. And then our new friend Zoe down in Texas got bit in the face by a freaking rattlesnake. Been kind of a heavy week.

And it's only Wednesday.

Since the whole idea of the D.P. is to make people happy, my human suggested I do something funny or entertaining or cute today to make the rest of the week better... I thought it would be better to be funny AND entertaining AND cute, all at the same time.

Happy Gotcha Day Scarlet & Whelp Day to Chewie in Minnesota. My human said I can't have any cookies because I ate so much tree stump bread, so I guess I ate bread in honor of your day (it was buttered!)

Ha ha ha, did Dutch have to show you how to get to the bread? Such a good brother!

Thanks for brightening up our day!

THE PUGLET said...

Yeah, kinda. Guess it pays to have a brother with a real snout & a long skinny neck.

THE PUGLET said...

I got to eat bread though & he didn't :)

I can tell a LOT of energy and thought and observation went into this!
...what a Puglet will do for some stale bread...just sayin'a Pug's gotta do what a Pug's gotta do.

Puglet, this here is your good Pal Howie. Please send more videos with food in them. They are my favorite.

LOL oh that just made my day! :)

Heeeeehehe! You almost did a headstand, Pug! (Klaus does headstands when he pees on trees. Must have something to do with the top-heaviness of pugs!) I'll have to try to get it on video sometime. :)

Nice combination of gymnastics, some modern dance and pilates moves. My score card says 10.0!
I love stale bread and anything else my snout runs into when I'm out and about, like the peanuts a nice lady in my building leaves out for squirrels (& me).
Keep an eye on that stump. It may turn out to be an outdoor snack station for birds or squirrels or enterprising pugs :)
Happy Day Scarlet and Chewie!

WoW! You're agile Puglet! Was that some sorta of awesome yoga, or maybe Puga (pug yoga)?

Thanks for wishing Scarlet a Happy Gotcha Day ~ she thinks your SUPER cute & wishes she could've had some that stump bread too. She's getting lots of extra treats today though :)

P.S. We heard about this cool pug Tanker that needs some extra help growing his fur back & Scarlet made a donation today:

Funny how the human said that if you could figure out how to get the bread that you could have all of it. Then when you did get to it, the human pulled you away! Typical humans.

Puglet, this link came to my google today and I thought of you. It is for SPAM CASSEROLE!! My human says that it is super gross but I convinced her to email it to you in hopes you can talk someone into making it for you!

Oooh, thanks for the tip Ollie!

My human says beagles are expert sniffer-outers. My snout is so smushed, I'd never find any goodies if it wasn't for Dutch. Luckily he's kinda wimpy and not nearly as agile as I am.

THE PUGLET said...

My birthday is happening next month. Maybe my human will let me have it instead of the usual "special" but-lame-compared-to-SPAM dog treat.

THE PUGLET said...

Awww, Scarlet -

That's so cool of you to help Tanker on your special day.

Ready for a little known fact about me? My name used to be Tanker! That's what my original people called me, but it made my human think of a great big boat or something so she started calling me Puglet instead (I was little and a pug, go figure). Since I was a foster, she thought someone else would give me a 'real' name... but obviously me & the name stuck :)

We are impressed that you recruited Dutch for a little reconnaissance. Very clever. You never cease to amazed us. Plus you got to eat bread!

Happy Whelp day Chewie! Happy Gotcha Day Scarlet! May your days be filled with yummy goodness.

Hi Z + P ~

Yeah. After about 5 minutes of standing on the railing - barking and cackling at the bread - I figured there had to be a Plan B.

Dutch made it look so easy. Sort of.

Oh made my day! I want to go find a stump full of bread now. Wonder if we have those around we do, and maybe they will have other stuff to eat besides bread in them!

And, since I'm in Dallas I want to help Tanker too! And not just because you were once called Tanker, Puglet, I just want to help out another cool pug! Thanks for the info Scarlet and Happy Gotcha Day!

Hi Puglet,
What a balancing act...good thing your human didn't film you from your butt end, now that would have made the 11 oclock news.

We get buttered bread toast, mom doesn't like crust and Ellie is a carb-O-holic.

Zoe update, our gal pal is sleeping most of the day, only gets up to pee and eat. What pug doesn't eat! The vet doc said she is way far away from being back to herself..but getting close. Her mom sent our mom pics of her bites they made our mom eyes leak lots! Thanks to everyone for the good JUJU.

Happy Day to Scarlet and Chewie...we'll beg for bread in your honor.

Ellie, Emmitt and Eli from San Antonio

PS if you want a peak at the pics, let us know.

Puglet...your name was *Tanker* kidding.

My name was Jesse James. Yep named after a bank robber. Mom renamed me Cowboy Emmitt..named after a football player.

Mom said we're going to check out dfwpugs today.

Dear Puglet,
Thanks for the video! I really needed that today. It's cold and rainy here in Denver. My human says we need the moisture, but Chili and I don't like to get wet, so we are hunkered in for the duration! But I am in awe of your stump jumping talents, and you've inspired me to try some new things as soon as the weather clears.

Speaking of renamed pugs, Chili's name was "Fatty". Isn't it bad enough that we pugs have to worry about our figures? The people at the pug rescue made our human promise to rename him. I don't know how she came up with Chili, except that now she calls him Chili Willi, but I guess even that is better than "Fatty".

Happy Days to Scarlet and Chewie!

Dude, you rock!!!!!!!! We could get into sooooooo much mischief together, I know it!!!!!!

Bambi says if you can get up there and get that bread you can TOTALLY do the Agility stuff that she does. (She still hoping to meet up with you at an Agility trial someday-she's always gushing over how cute you are......) pffffft, silly girl Pug.

Anyway, great job with the bread.

PS. Happy Day to Scarlett and Chewie

My mom is still laughing out loud after watching your video. I don't know what's funny, cause I saw genious in action. Bread is good and buttered bread means it's even better. I just wish that I was that agile or I think I may have snagged more "snacks" in the wild.
Happy dad to Scarlet and Chewie!
Glad to hear that Zoe is on the mend, but we'll send more good thoughts today.

Thanks everyone for the special welp day wishes and special thanks to Puglet for mentioning me. My mom says I'm famous now; but not as famous as puglet of course. My little sister Penny is sad because she has to wait until next March 30th for Puglet to mention her but I told her it's well worth the wait. Plus, now that I'm 2 I'm very wise and know lots more than she does (she just turned 1)so I'm trying to convince her that waiting sucks sometimes but Puglet won't forget her, I just know it!

Thanks again everyone. I've had a great special day except that my mom didn't even let me eat any poop today! You would think she would make an exception for my birthday but she didn't.

Puglet you are hilarious! Way to use your tail for balance, too. Speaking of names, today my parents were mumbling something about changing my name to "Treat" because it's the only word I respond to. Love, Sid.
