TSS

Since we didn't get very far trying to figure out the Top Secret Stuff (TSS) yesterday, today I tried some other, more - uhm, aggressive tactics.

My original plan was to go on a hunger strike. Y'know, refuse to eat until my human spilled the beans. But when breakfast came and my bowl was full of food it was really really really hard not to eat it. So... the hunger strike lasted about 30 seconds.

Plan B was to get Dutch to spill the beans. I'm way smarter than he is, so I figured I could just trick him to telling me what this TSS is all about. I'm not sure if he was playing dumb or just being dumb, but when I asked for details he claimed not to know a thing.

I even tried beating the truth out of him....

But he still said nothing.

Plan C was to wait until my human was asleep, then secretly log on to HAL4 and snoop around the Nikon folder for clues. But I couldn't wait for her to sleep so I tried to do it when she wasn't looking. I didn't have much time and only found this one TSS picture:

Huh?

Anyone have any freaking idea what this could be about???

Hi Pug,
You better pack your clogs.

Hugs,
Suki

Clogs? Aren't they kinda like my human's hideous pink Crocs?

Confused!

Eddie the Pug and his Mom said...

Well...I wouldn't pack your suitcase or clogs yet because there are some windmills in SF out on the Great Highway. But, how would those and tulips tie in with bath time and such a cast of characters, I mean, other DOGS!
Good Luck Puglet,

No idea, Eddie. No freaking idea.

Heya Noodle ~

A pug's gotta do what a pug's gotta do.

Hi Puglet, a hunger strike is never an option for a pug, although I used to do hunger strikes for two days at a time if I did not like my food.
It had, however, never an impact on my human and therefore I have given up strikes in general, save acting up a bit if we do not walk into the direction I favor.

Otherwise ... windmills, clocks, ethnic clothing, Dutch in front of the painting .. I guess this adventure has to have something to do with Holland. Just guessing.

I know nothing about the secret and I have never met people dressed like that painting here in the Netherlands, but Dutch is sure one sweet dog!! He even walked with you when you were questioning him....what a dude ;-)

Hi Carlos ~

I can't believe you survived 2 days without food. I didn't last 30 seconds!

THE PUGLET said...

Hello Floris all the way from the Netherlands!

Dutch says he's glad to hear that people in his homeland don't really dress like the lady in the mural. I think she kinda freaked him out.

You're writing a book? :)

Yeah, I used to do these 2-day-hunger strikes - and unfortunately and as my human commented they had no influence on my body shape.

Clearly, I do not eat what I do not like. She sort of changed her purchasing rituals, which means she is queing patiently at the butcher's now. Heaven.

Still dieting .. Carlos!

OMG Puglet...RUN! I've pieced the recent clues together and have come up with this....My theory is that Dutch is going to "Dutch Oven" you when you go to bed tonight!!!!!!! (google if you're not familiar with this game) and it's going to be SO FOUL that you will require 93847 bubble baths to recover!

If you need a place to escape to....Indy is very Pug friendly!!!!

Good luck dude!

Love,
S-Dog

Puglet,

I think your hooman is totally making a BOOK! Maybe an alphabet dog book. D = Dutch = dutch background. How much you wanna bet that P is for Puglet?!?

Or at least that would be cool. I'd buy a book.

Hi Puglet,
We watched you 'beating' Dutch.. which didn't do much except maybe scramble your brains. Did you hurt yourself?

We have no freaking idea what that picture is all about but our mom mumbled something about 'A male version of the Flying Nun'.

Who is the Flying Nun??? And what is Dutch looking at..?? we think maybe an escape route.

Ellie, Emmitt and Eli from San Antonio

PS Ellie has cast #3 on her leg, her new nick name is Peggy! Once again no freaking idea.

Bo from Sacramento says:

Hey Puglet: Such a mystery! My mom said she thinks maybe you guys are going to film a commercial???? But then again, the book idea sounds pretty darn good. Maybe your mom is going to do a book about the adventures of Puglet and Dutch - a kids' book, with all kinds of pictures to tell a story about you and Dutch?

Mom and I can't wait for this mystery to be solved. We are anxiously awaiting the next clue!!

I love your interrogation of Dutch. I treat my Boxer sister, Snap, much the same way. And she has the same look on her face - "mom, can't I just squash the pug brat like a bug?" But she never does.

Minnie and Mack said...

I can't believe Dutch didn't break during your interrogation! also love the way you walk him.

hey, you missed my birthday on Sept 12!

We have no idea about the TSS but the book thing sounds like it is in the right direction.

Pug, you looked pretty vicious interrogating Dutch...can't believe he didn't even flinch. My mom laughed out loud when you first mentioned a hunger strike...not going to happen. If that's how we have to get info, it's just not worth it, buddy! I like the alphabet book idea, but we are still totally lost. Maybe like Suki said, Dutch is going to visit his homeland...so look out if you are sitting next to a mural of China!
Love,
Payton

That's a good tactic to get Dutch to talk, but he's a tough nut to crack.

Is Dutch going to his "homeland"? BOL

Dutch is the most zen dog I've ever seen that's not on Prozac. Mind you there's a Staffordshire I know who's so laid back, sometimes I think he's asleep with his eyes open.

No clue about the TSS expect that it's going to be a really really big treat for all of us when we do finally get to see it.

Poor Ellie on her third cast! And calling her peg leg to boot! That gal deserves a mega reward for patience, like her own subscription to the steak of the month club.

Kitty+Coco said...

I'm pretty sure Dutch has been trained to resist torture or something. I mean, it is unreal! I would totally whip Coco's pug butt if she tugged on my leash.

No idea what is going on..But keep us filled in.

Maggie the Pug in Dallas said...

It's a book about Dutch's adventures in Holland! But you guys didn't go to Holland so that can't be it. But kinda cute..Dutch, Holland...get it? Anyway, so dang cute you trying to "beat it" out of Dutch! Puglet, you are something else!

Noodles said...

Shady shady shady doings are afoot Puglet. I doubt Dutch knows anything. I mean, afterall, would YOU confide in Dutch? He doesn't strike me as a keepin'-a-secret kinda guy.
I don't really have any idea what the secret secret thing is all about. . . but I am pretty sure a road trip is involved.

You have us just panting for information on this, we are on the edge of our doggie beds waiting to hear the answer to the mystery.

Our human says you might want to watch out for some guy named Don Key yo te who chased after windmills...maybe that Dutch, and you are his Sancho?

Pearl and Tessa

THE PUGLET said...

Uhm, I don't know where to start! You all know so many, uh, interesting things.

Dutch oven?
Flying nun?
Prozac zen?
Sancho?

I think I know less now than I did when I knew nothing!?!

My human says it's not a book, but I guess 'The adventures of Dutch and Puglet' book has been on her list for a few years now. Maybe she'll get our names in the right order by the time she actually gets around to doing it.

Dutch and Puglet?? Uh, I don't think so.
The Adventures of PUGLET and Dutch is more like it!

Minnie + Mack -

Sorry, for some reason you weren't on the calendar. Are you two littermates? If no, whose birthday do we need to put on the 2010calendar?

* Everyone, let's eat up for the headtilt pugs!! *

THE PUGLET said...

Yeah, Noodles - you're right. I wouldn't trust Dutch with a secret. But I can't be trusted with them either, so what can I say?

THE PUGLET said...

3E's ~

Cast #3? Jeesh. Will it never end? Dutch says he hopes they are still pink and cute.

(sigh)

I didn't hurt myself during the interrogation, but I obviously wasn't hard enough on Dutch. Did you see the way he just stood there with his skinny neck, mocking me? I swear he was laughing.

THE PUGLET said...

Hi Ollie ~

I swear Dutch sleeps with his eyes open too! He's not on Prozac, but my human says he's so laid back, he's horizontal. Whatever that means.

THE PUGLET said...

Carlos ~

I can't believe you got your human to go to the butcher's. Best we can hope for is carrots :/

UPDATE:

Just confirmed > nobody is going to The Netherlands/Holland. Or China.
