LOVE DAY

It's almost time for another special-day and for once I actually know what it's about.

In case you don't know, I'm talking about Valentine's Day. And Valentine's Day is all about love. If you're a human, love could come in a card. Or as flowers. Maybe even chocolate. But dogs don't care about flowers and can't eat chocolate so Valentine's Day doesn't really seem all that special.

Unless you have a friend like Stubby who organizes a doggy Valentine's card exchange!

I never thought I'd get soooo excited about something you can't eat or play with, but getting stuff in the mail is pretty cool.
Our mailperson said he's never seen a dog get so much mail! I'm not allowed to open my cards until Valentine's day, but I already feel extrasuper special.

Not only did Stubby make the cards come, he also gave me a heads up on the whole Valentine's Day = love thing. And since love also = Jenny the pug, I wrote a special Valentine's Day Haiku just for her. I held off on sending a freeze-dried bullypenis, but I did send one of my other favorite snacks.

I reeeally hope the package I sent Jenny makes her feel as special as... a pug with a mouth full of Valentines cards!

Hi Puglet! Mom says you look so cute with the cards in your mouth. I'm just glad you decided not to eat them.

Your words are so sweet and I feel so special to be your friend. I think it's so neat that you are waiting until Valentine's Day to open your cards. I rip open my cards as soon as they arrive and my mantel is covered with them.

How exciting that you wrote a special Haiku for Jenny and sent her a snack. I'm sure she'll love your gifts and that they'll make her feel loved.

Stubby xoxo

Well, I kinda tried to eat the first one that came. That's when the human said my card-opening had to be 'supervised' and that we'd wait for V-day to do them all at once.

Thanks for being such a special (and wise!) pug.

Happy Valentine's Day, Puglet! That was no thoughtful of your friend Stubby to send you Valentine's greetings. I hope you have a LOVEly day and hear back from jenny about your gift and Haiku.

My mom belongs to a puglist that has a Christmas card exchange. She looks forward to them every year. She also likes to think of cool cards to send - this year we were all trading cards (with our agility stats) that went together like a puzzle to say Merry Christmas.

how do you get on these list? I would love to spread some pug love to everyone.

Don't worry Bellatrix, this is my first card exchange thingy. Stubby and Arnie are more worldly than I am.

I mean, who knew a pug could get mail??

Maybe my human will do a card thingy one day too. Then we can all enjoy a mailbox full of extraspecial pug love!

Us too! We love sending out cards(Halloween,Christmas,Valentine's,etc.) to our friends but most of them are human; sending them to pug friends sounds like a fun way to spread the pug love.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to all of our friends!

hey just surfing around mom's doing something called tax's not sure what they are but she gets paid to do them so that means more treats for me! Anyway I found this link about celebrity pug owners. Maybe we can all email them about flat puglet project. I am emailing Oprah again and Racahel Ray, hmm how about Jesse James he lost his dog maybe flat puglet could help find him.

Hey Puglet,

Yeah, the card exchanges are SUPER FUN.... This year we did a Christmas Card exchange again and us Pugs got WAY more Christams cards than the humans did.....LOL Our human dad kept asking why we were getting so many more cards than him (like 5 times as many)

We think the Flat Pug idea is great!!!!! Mom keeps forgetting to sign us up tho.....

Ha ha - the mailman said the same thing to my human.

The mail guy was all excited to finally deliver a special valentine addressed to her... but it was only from her dentist.

Puglet, the only mail I ever get is from the vet reminding me to come in for my annual check-up and I wouldn't mind if he forgot about me.
I think its awesome that you're waiting to open all your cards at once on Sunday, like presents on Christmas. The pink envelope with the red roses looks really interesting.
My human says today you look like you should be on the cover of Tiger Beat with a caption like 'Puglet Describes His Perfect Valentine's Day Date!' or 'Puglet and Jenny: What's His Romantic Surprise?'.
Happy Valentine's Day Everybody!

Oh, I would love to have a Valentine's Day date with Jenny.

Sigh.

I'm really proud of the Haiku I sent her. I think it says just enough without sounding, uh, desperate? I mean, I could totally get other girls if I wanted to. I just don't want to. Jenny is the one.
