WHAT ABOUT ME??

My human has been spending a lit-tle too much time with my flat self. Cutting, flattening, sticking him in envelopes. I know the whole thing was my idea, but I didn't know the flat me was going to be so....... entertaining. And cute. And time consuming. I mean, what about me, the Real Puglet??

When I mentioned this to my human yesterday (in the form of a look so cute she grabbed her camera and took today's picture), she reminded me about Flat Puglet's mission to help homeless dogs. She told me about all the places he'll go and people he'll meet. She said he'd teach the world to love recycled dogs like me and Dutch.

Then she gave me a cookie and I felt much better.

I know he's only visited a few places, but FP has already taught me a lot about the world too. For one, I had no idea it was so full of snow. I knew it existed - but I didn't know it was everywhere. I also didn't know there's a giant shiny bean in downtown Chicago, that asparagus is cheap in Illinois, or that my human grew up in the snow not far from where Frodo lives.

And I totally didn't know there were so many places to go that aren't in California.

But the biggest thing I've learned from Flat Puglet is how cool and funny and creative and extrasuper nice everyone here is! I haven't seen all of FP's adventures, but I do know my human has been laughing a whole lot more than usual. Like, a TON more. And a happy human is a happy pug.

So, I've decided to embrace my Flat self and do what I can to help him succeed. Everyone else seems to like him, I guess I can too.

FLATTIE NEWS!
Today the
flat me heads back to snowy Illinois, visits the biggest fire hydrant I've ever seen and has way too much fun with some of Stubby's friends.

(sorry Stubby, but your Josie just might be Flat Puglet's Jenny).

Read about Flat Puglet's adventures over at flatpuglet.com.

Not to worry, Puglet. There's no replacing the REAL you!

(That picture of FP with Izzy in the swing is priceless. I almost did a spit take with my coffee this morning upon seeing it!)

Puglet,
It's nice to see you are growing and learning from this great thing your person is doing. I know it's not easy to accept that there are things in the world that are bigger than us(and I don't mean in a waistline kind of way). I'm the first to resist the idea that I am not the center of the universe. I applaud your efforts!! Bravo Puglet!!

Yeah, it's kinda hard not being the center of the universe. Now I know how brother Dutch must have felt when I moved in.

Oh well. At least I'm making people happy. That *is* everypug's dream.

That Josie is kinda cute, huh? Anyone know if Illinois is any closer to California than Orgeon???

Oh Puglet, I know there is no way you will ever be replaced by a FP. Is there anyone out there who can resist that face and charm? Besides, can Jenny snuggle with a cardboard and plastic version of you? Heck no! I know I can't wait to snuggle with you on Sunday.

Puglet, it's hard when FP gets more attention than you. Keep up the pouty looks though. If it gets ya attention and cookies, why not?

Gunther

I've been working on that super-sad-but-cute look ever since it scored me a handful of Cheetos. It's very powerful so I try to save it for desperate times.

Hi Puglet! I'm so glad you've decided to embrace FP. He's such a cool guy and I love that he visited my girl Josie and her family. They had a great time with him and Josie emailed me to tell me that she misses me.

Stubby xoxo

Pee-s: Mom and Dad have been talking about going to San Francisco in a couple of weeks. I told them if they go then I have to go so I can meet you. They reminded me that I can't fly and I told them we could drive. Stay tuned!

My apologies, Josie and Izzy. Of course that was Josie in the swing with FP! I should learn not to comment before my brain is fully awake.

Is ok, my human's brain isn't fully awake most of the time :)

Stubbs!

You might come to SF? Really? All the way from the land of Abe and cheap asparagus?? Wo. That would be almost like getting a visit from Jenny! Not exactly, but close.

Puglet, that was too cute! You made our human squeak & then pick us up & give us big squeezes. So, thanks. That's a powerful look when it works across cyberspace for other pugs. It's a good thing you save it for desperate times...it's what humans call the "big guns".
Don't fret this weekend is Pug Sunday & you'll get plenty of attention & more importantly cookies. Nothing can replace you & I'm sure all of us would rather have the real Puglet visit instead of FP but we don't think you fit in an envelope. We can't wait to get our FP but only so we can help spread your message. We always prefer sweet, loveable you.

Much Pugluv, Zoey & Phoebe
